I was just talking to my girlfriend on the phone, and I happened to mention how Bruce Bowen had finally made all team first defense( :smokin ), and that it was the first time I've seen two spurs make the team.

She was like, "What other Spur made it? Duncan?"

I nearly choked on my Freebirds Monster Steak burrito. Then i managed to ask "Are you freaking serious????" :wow

And she was all "Yeah, i mean, Did Duncan make it, was it him or not?"

And then i was like "Babe he's made first team all defense and first team all nba every season he's been in the league"

Then she actually said "Wow, is Duncan really that good? I mean, I knew he was good, but I had no idea he was that good."

At that point I didn't know whether to choke again or start laughing.

I was like "Babe you've seen like so many games with me over the past 2 seasons, how can you not tell he's that good????"

And this is what she said next:
"Well I mean, he's good, but he's just so quiet and slow all the time. I mean he never keeps shooting it, he just moves around looking bored and tired"

LOL

there you have it folks
Tim Duncan's boringness strikes again.

I cut her some slack cuz she never watched bball before hanging out with me so.

Isn't it funny that the average person can just spot Tim Duncan's boringness from a mile away but never notice his ridiculous impact on a game??? :lol

Mrs. Chopper has been around for 14 years of my somewhat insane infatuation with the Spurs and I had to announce to her a couple of weeks ago that the playoffs were starting. Her response:

"Did the Spurs make the playoffs?"

Sad, but true. If I asked her what comes to her mind when I say "Brown, Parker & Bowen" she'd think I was talking about a law firm.

Let's just say that I feel your pain bro.

LOL, hmmm. Perhaps my easily insane infatuation with the Spurs can convert her to the Dark Side.

Hell, I've been trying for 2 seasons now hahaha

At least I've turned her into a Laker hater. She saw the 0.4 game with me and her ears still hurt from all my swearing.

I learned about sports at a very young, young age. If we watched with my dad he let us drink beer.

I know more than the average bear about pretty much every sport. :lol :drunk

GF works for the local radio station that covers the Mavs. We were watching Game 2 Sunday night, Luke Ridnour hit a shot and she asked me, "Is that Dirk?"

Snappy line #2: Ain't no average bears around here. :eyebrows

Yeah tonight I was telling Kori that the Spurs' bigmen in the pick-and-rolls weren't showing enough, which allowed the guard to get the angle to hit Jerome James over and over again. She insisted that it was slow rotation by the help defense. :lol

Oh, wait. Nevermind.

He is just trying to get laid. Everyone else should leave their SO if they don't like, and/or pass a Spurs knowledge test.

Women that give a damn about sports and men who don't aren't meant to be together. You're depriving some sports nut out there of a perfect mate.

It took me a while to get use to the Spurs playing style. I played ball back in high school and grew up watching the Bulls and the Rockets.
