So? He can pass, dribble, shoot the open jumper, face-up, play with his back to the basket, and block shots. He can contribute immediately..

The stats against picking older players are pretty convincing. Udoh was playing against guys 5 years younger than he was. Plus he's still pretty raw offensively.

I think Damion James is a perfect combo big 3/4 guy for the Spurs. He is a pretty damn good defensive player/rebounder and has an alright offensive game.
