A question of etiquette: will Anderson be allowed to wear 23, which is what Gee currently wears, or will he be forced to pick something else?
That's assuming we keep Gee of course. Either way, if Splitter wears 22 we'll have 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 on the team.

How? What are his weaknesses?
He doesn't have a position. He can't shoot well enough to play at 3 and he can't survive in the post.
Not so much a problem on the offensive end, there he's a bit of a mismatch. But I can't see him guarding an NBA wing who's faster than Szerbiak, and I can't see him covering a decent big - say Scola...

NBA Comparison: Nick Anderson/Daequan Cook
Strengths: Prolific scoring swingman in a wiry 6-6 frame ... Highly efficient offensive game (46% FG for his college career) ... Lights out shooter with textbook form and high release ... Possesses boundless range with no deterioration in accuracy from distance (38.4%) ... Has no conscious, even in the face of repeated misses ... Extremely effective in catch-and-shoot situations, with his feet set and ready to fire ... Always squares his body to the rim with great balance and elevation on his jumper. Shoots well off the dribble when driving to his left ... Likes to take a jump stop just inside the paint for a little right-handed floater. Uses his vertical to quickly elevate over defenders inside. Has the ability to hang and adjust his shot mid-leap ... He's increased his aggression taking the ball to the basket ... Attempted 3.2 FT as a freshman, 4.7 as a sophomore and 7.2 through ten game as a junior (86%) ... Not afraid to take smaller defenders into the post ... Boasts an incredible wingspan ... Provides an incredible boost on the boards where he hits the offensive glass hard (5 rpg, 2 offensive) ... Has the skill set of a lockdown defender with his lateral quickness, length and dedication to the defensive side of the ball ... Was asked to take on an enhanced leadership role by coach Ford, and has responded commendably.
Weaknesses: Lack of ball handling skills really constricts his game ... He is not comfortable creating offense for himself or teammates ... Appears hesitant with the ball in his hands with a lack of ingenuity ... Despite his athletic gifts, does not look "smooth" when forced to make a basketball move ... Drives to the basket are predominantly to his left ... Unable to change directions with the rock ... Dribbles with his head down ... Turnovers (2 per game for his career) and offensive fouls have been a problem ... Not a particularly adept passer (1.3 ast per game) ... His basketball IQ needs work ... He's a natural shooter, but not a natural basketball player ... Could certainly stand to add some bulk, which would aid his ball handling woes ... Knocked off balance too easily on drives ... Despite improved aggression, still spends too much time floating around the perimeter, especially in crunch time. Needs to augment his mid-range game.
Notes: Has some oddball statistical games early in the 2009-2010 season, with a 15 rebound game vs. Seattle and a 5 block game vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Was selected to the USA team at the World University Games where he averaged 7 pts and 2 rebounds in 12 minutes per game.

Mark my fucking words, I've watched every college game he's ever played.... the man cannot dribble, cannot score unless its off his offensive rebounds, does not have the lateral quickness to defend SG's or the lankiness to defend SF's.

They are wrong but I also think that his "questionable" defense is being blown out of proportion by others. As long as he is put in to defend 2s or smalls 3s I think he can be decent.
DX a year ago said he was a decent defender but their latest evaluations said that he was below average. I'm thinking that he regressed on defense because he was pretty much the entire offense for OKST.

He can be a decent change-of-pace role player, to get out there, rough people up, and get some rebounds, but we already have that. And he's taller. His name is DeJuan Blair.
I'm an unabashed fan of his as a role player 7th man type tbh. I like him because I think he can guard the small ball fours like Rashard Lewis, Jamison etc and still rebound. Tbh all he has to do is is hit spot up jumpers and get some putbacks if he were a Spur which I think can probably shoot well enough to do imo. Tbh despite his improved 3 point percentage he did miss some wide open jumpers. He has pretty good hops though. The difference imo is that other people think it's a weakness that he's a not true 3 or 4 I think its more of a versatility thing in that can play either depending on who he has to guard.

They will indeed have to pay the $3 Million, but that doesn't count towards salary cap, and the salary. Still could be a good investment if Jones reaches the high end of his potential. A Stater level player on a #25 rookie contract could save you something like $10 million over 4 seasons plus lux tax. Manu and Tony will be the primary ballhandlers/playmakers/runners on the floor when they are on the court, which likely won't be at the same time. Regardless of what the players accompanying them are deemed they are the most established at that role which their teammates will generally feed off of. Hill is more adept at looking for his own offense and roaming the court for scoring opportunities than he is setting up others, though he may still be given a shot. Imo, you play to those strengths to help the improve the offense.

Bad comparison between James and Blair. Blair is a 5 maybe a 4/5 but he's too slow to guard most modern 4s. James is a 3/4. Plus teams who build themselves to beat one team (Shaq-Cavs to cover Orlando) often shoot themselves in the foot when they have to play someone else. They have Splitter to play against LAL, James would be a solid 3/4 swing to put in their rotation.
