I have a bunch of rocket fans that are making james sound like Shaq II I want to find out if anyone has a gif of Duncan blocking James dunk in the first few minutes of the game

That play was absolutely huge. It completely stopped the momentum that the Sonics had and allowed the Spurs to keep close in spite of the fact that they played like crap.

I've always wondered how dangerous it is for the blocker's hand to get scrunched up agasint the rim, maybe his wrist bent back over the rim. Anybody know of such injuries?

It can't be goaltending because it hasn't left the shooter's hand?

I agree. That block was the most exciting play of the game for me. I was extremely pumped after that.

I seem to recall Dave breaking his hand on the rim one year, and I think it was while he was playing defense. He missed the playoffs that year and Antoine Carr had to start at center.
