Wow Tim is so bad tonight. His confidence looks shattered. That airball was the worst I've ever seen it was so far off.
Pop has got to stop playing guys like Blair with TD.
I think Tim is confused on defense because he's too used to trying to guard the whole court since Pop has been putting shit defenders with him the last two seasons. Tim seems like he's lost his bearings thanks to Pop's pathetic sidekicks he gets for him.

I hate to say it as a Cowboys fan, but the Clippers are the NBA's Cowboys. There's no reason with Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon, and Chris Kaman on your team why you shouldn't be on the verge of being a playoff team. Add Aminu, Butler, Baron Davis, Eric Bledsoe, DeAndre Jordan, and that team even has some decent depth. Definitely not playing to their potential. I blame it on not going to Griffin enough, he should be getting the ball more often.

Yikes.......how the Spurs are winning this one is beyond me. Spurs letting the worst shooting team in the NBA shoot 50% (given there were some fluke shots).
Spurs are not out rebounding them (tied), tied in TO's, tied in AST...basically the Spurs have just made a few more 3's and FT's.
They are playing awful. I am officially worried about Tim and will continue to be until I see different. It's not just the way he looks, which is worrisome. It is his decision making. If he is going to struggle physically, he has to be in it with his mind. He is really hurting the team.

I think it's about the hustle...
He now has to "use" more energy to do the same thing he did easily not so long ago!
Either it is to score or defend, you have to "hustle".
To be honest, I'm more than anything hoping that he is in a "diesel"/Mc Dyess mode... :lol and is going to get better through the season..

Yeah, it's not so much his GAME that I'm worrying about. I can live with a poor PHYSICAL performance from Tim, because it happens. However, this is different. The last two games he just looks totally gone MENTALLY.
Like not noticing that he should run that back-door cut with Tony, and then threw it out of bounds is a clear example of what is worrisome. Timmy NEVER messes that play up.

We saw a small taste of Splitter's offense in the post. Not bad - he missed the shot but it rolled in and out. Decent footwork. I'd like to see more though, I'm itching to get a general impression of his post game right now, and a single play is not going to cut it.
Then again it's not in pop's nature to throw new players to the wolves - so to speak. He's going to ease splitter into the lineup slowly most likely.

Nice pass by Blair. Its going to be even more awesome when Tiago gets consistent minutes too since passing is a specialty of his.
Remember that Duncan's got orders to take more jumpshots and to really just try and take it easy in general during the reg season.

Well, I haven't read anything about Tim being hurt. He even lost weight. It seems that he's not concentrating.
Duncan did not lose weight this summer, he actually put on a couple of pounds. He thought he was too light last year (he lost 15 pounds that summer).

Again though, it is not about that. This is the second game where he looks like he has fallen off the cliff. There is a massive difference in "starting slow" and looking really really bad like Tim has the past two games.
I am not saying Tim is done, I am saying I am very concerned because this does not seem like the normal Tim early in a season.
He's fine. Probably mentally slow cuz these first games are mostly about the new circus of players we got showing off to pop and finding their way.
Duncan's a player man. If he played like this for like 3 weeks then we'd have a huge problem but no use getting worried this early. I think he's just loafing it.

Tony has to learn how to pass on the fast break once in a while..
He also has to stop going so slow when he's 1 on 1 in transition, he doesn't have the necessary lift yet..

TP has been uncharacteristically bad on those one man fast breaks. He used to be automatic. Now, it seems like he is slowing down to much. I think it is a conscious decision and not a physical thing, so TP has to change that.

Words and actions. Out of the big 3, Duncan has a history of loafing it in games here and there. Not criticizing in the least, it's just what it is.
No way Duncan is treating this like a do-or-die, you don't just forget how to pass over one summer.
Gotta treat this team a little differently we have so many new players we're hoping to make part of the system, and you got a brand new 1st time starter out there. These early games are mostly about them.

That's the difference right there..
Gordon uses the screen, and he's wide open for a mid-range J, because McDyess sagged off and gave him the shot..
When Splitter was in, he hedged aggressively, like Manu4Tres made a thread about, and it forced the Clippers to reset their offense..that's what mobility can do for a big man..
I hope Splitter can keep showing us some of that..
