Glad the announcers decided to dwell on the technical foul for a good few minutes. At least it got a little national exposure and chastising, though I doubt it will make any difference (although the league may rescind Timmy's technical fine).
That is among the stupidest technical's I've ever seen called. The other one was the laugh.

Then I don't understand why you continually bitch and bash bonner in this thread. He has played well tonight and him starting the 2nd half was one of the reasons we went on that big run. Is there games where he matches up poorly? Yes, just like every other player but the last 2 games he has been a big factor in us winning the game.
Lol you need to re-read my comments. I never said he needs to be benched or that he was hurting us. I simply stated that I do see why people make comments like "Bonner haters suck it" just because hes out there while our players are firing on all cylinders offensively.
Its nice to see that your posts arent just Blair and Hill bashing, posting play by plays during the game and empty comments.

Spacing. It's too easy to rotate to Korver when he's that close. The reason the D doesn't rotate to Deng is because he's not hitting his shot. If that were Korver, he'd never get an open shot off with the rotation.

I don't think so. Anytime Rose gets in the paint he has two players hanging all over him. They'll leave Deng open for wide open jumpers in a heartbeat. They'll be hesitant to leave Korver and will have to choose whether to leave Korver or let Rose go one on one. Deng just clanks too many damn jumpers and there's not a player within 5-10 feet of him.

The person who needs to conduct the half time talk is Parker not Pop. He has got to find a way to help the team get past this. Right now they all look including Pop like they are playing with a knot in their gut.

You already know how I feel about the Bulls from my comments downstairs, I'm pretty high on them..Boozer is hated by most fans, but he's obviously going to be a big part of the team, and Noah's strengths will help negate Boozer's weaknesses..
I think the Bulls are one year away, tbh..they're going to scare a team in the ECSF, and next year they'll make the step IMO, with 1 or 2 more moves(not big moves, but for another role player)..Rose will be a top 10 player next year..

Great win. Very excited about this group because it seems like they can go to "another level" or really perform when they want to. Something we couldn't do last season.
Pop has his hands full with the frontline rotation though. Going to be interesting to see how Duncan,Dice,Bonner,Blair and Splitter minutes get distributed. Especially with Bonner on the roll.

You can do a search for my comments on Boozer over the years to know I can't stand the guy :lol But I have to live with him on my team and I agree he'll be a positive addition considering Noah will cover up his weaknesses in the paint. The Bulls still have some growing up to do but it's nice to see their effort doesn't go away when they get down big. I think that definitely has to do with the maturity of Rose. The last couple of years when they got down big their shoulders would slump and they wouldn't have any fire to attempt any comeback.

I can probably imagine why you cant stand Boozer, However, harlem has a point about what Noah brings the the table and how that will mask Boozers shortcomings. The Jazz didnt have a lengthy defensive minded rebounding big which lead to Gasol taking advantage of Booz.
The scary thing is that boozer probably would have helped a lot during the bulls 3rd quarter drought and it might have been a different game. Not looking forward to playing the bulls in chicago =p

I fully expect the Spurs to struggle some in the first half, but as long as a few guys play well and score, they should open it up in the 2nd half.
Spurs have to really attack their bigs and drive then kick. They can't just stand on the perimeter and jack up shots. They have moved the ball pretty well so far though.
Whenever the Bulls went on that huge run in the 2nd quarter, it was much worse than I thought it would be, but the Spurs played well and looked sharp in the 2nd half. Very good win.

Once on the court, Parker found respite, and the Spurs eventually found their eighth straight victory, overcoming a horrific first half to beat Chicago 103-94.

Some post-game quotes.
Parker splits from Longoria, then keeps Spurs hot (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap?gid=2010111724)
By Paul J. Weber
The locker room door swung open and Tony Parker stood up from his chair, already showered and dressed, with not one of his dozen teammates anywhere in sight. The star of the game smiled and waited to answer questions.
But not about the divorce.
Parker scored 21 points hours after his actress wife Eva Longoria filed divorce papers to end their three-year Hollywood marriage, blocking out a gulf of attention and speculation to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 103-94 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.
“It was a weird game,” Parker said. “I had a rough start.”
Was anyone surprised?
He arrived at the AT&T Center after Longoria—the “Desperate Housewives” star who gave the Spurs a rare courtside celebrity to boast about—filed for divorce Wednesday morning in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.
Before he could warm-up for the game, Parker confronted more than a dozen reporters and television cameras choking the hallway outside the Spurs’ locker room, waiting for the first comments from the three-time All-Star about the apparent end of his marriage.
Parker obliged, but only succinctly answered three questions before the interview was brought to an end after less than a minute. After the game, a team official told reporters that he would cut off access to Parker if anyone asked him personal questions.
The drama overshadowed an eighth straight victory and a 9-1 start for the Spurs—tying a franchise-best that not even Tim Duncan saw during any of San Antonio’s four championship runs.
Derrick Rose scored 33 points for the Bulls, whose win streak ended at four.
Rose couldn’t lead the Bulls to another comeback after he scored 17 points in the fourth quarter in a win Tuesday night at Houston.
“I don’t know if it was fatigue,” Rose said. “The good thing about the NBA is you play again in a few days. We still feel good about ourselves.”
Manu Ginobili scored 20 points and Duncan had 16 points and a season-high 18 rebounds for the Spurs, who last opened 9-1 in 1981 during the George Gervin era.
Luol Deng scored 18 points for the Bulls, but on 6 of 17 shooting. Joakim Noah had 10 points and 14 rebounds.
But all eyes were on Parker.
He was 9 of 14 from the floor and had seven assists, and when the Spurs emptied their bench with 22.2 seconds left, fans treated Parker to a standing ovation.
Parker kept his head down and never smiled.
Parker and Longoria’s split made for an usually frenzied atmosphere around the Spurs, whose teams under coach Gregg Popovich have largely enjoyed insularity and few off-the-court distractions.
Longoria, 35, did not indicate in the court filings when the couple broke up. They have no children together, and Longoria has one previous marriage.
“It’s a difficult time right now for me and Eva,” Parker said before the game. “We got a joint statement and everything else is our private life.”
Asked about speculation that Parker might have been involved with the wife of a former Spurs teammate, Parker replied: “That’s my private life.”
Longoria often attended her husband’s games when not filming—and in the process, usually eclipsing Spurs great David Robinson as one of the few famous faces in the crowd. When Parker signed a four-year, $50 million extension with the Spurs last month, the 28-year-old spoke as though staying in San Antonio was as important to Longoria as it was to him.
Popovich said during a morning shootaround that his star point guard getting a divorce—during what has so far been one of the best early starts in Parker’s career—wouldn’t be a distraction.
Popovich then addressed the situation one more time before the game.
“This is a difficult situation for everyone, obviously,” Popovich said. “Eva and Tony are two people that we love and care about. We wish them both the best as they move through this.”
Before the game, Parker said he would focus “100 percent” on the Spurs and winning basketball games. He is averaging 18.6 points and a career-best 8.4 assists.
The Spurs trailed 47-37 at halftime but stunned the Bulls with a 37-point third quarter in which San Antonio shot 71 percent. Meanwhile, Chicago missed six of 23 shots and scored just 12 points, a season low for any quarter.
“We talked about it all preseason. In training camp, in preseason—that we wanted to have a good start and not have the same mistakes as last year,” Parker said.
He then thanked reporters and walked out of the locker room, like it was any other night.
Notes: Duncan has twice as many rings, but Hall of Famer David Robinson can say he reached the Spurs’ all-time scoring mark quicker. Duncan appeared in his 987th career game Wednesday, matching the number Robinson played in his 14-year career, but Duncan remains 12 points shy of The Admiral’s team record of 20,790 career points.

+1. I'd rather the team have balanced scoring throughout the board like tonight with TP and Manu going for 20 each and TD chipping in 16, RJ 12 and Hill 14. One guy doesnt have the burden of carrying the scoring load..

San Antonio Spurs 103, Chicago Bulls 94 (http://www.48minutesofhell.com/)
by Andrew A. McNeill
48 Minutes of Hell
AT&T CENTER — Upon first glance, Derrick Rose scoring 33 points on 15-27 shooting, including 2-4 from the 3-point line is a scary proposition for the San Antonio Spurs.
But to simply look at the box score would sell short the defensive gameplan the Spurs implemented in their 103-94 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.

...It was understandable that a chance to play basketball was a welcome respite for the Spurs point guard from the whirling maelstrom in his private life. And he played like it with team-high totals of 21 points and seven assists that led the Spurs to a 103-94 victory over Chicago.

Game of the night: The Spurs would like your attention, please (http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/11/18/game-of-the-night-the-spurs-would-like-your-attention-please/)
Rob Mahoney
After 24 minutes of decent offensive execution with poor finishing, the Spurs’ third quarter was an explosion of contrasts. San Antonio’s inexplicable misses were made right again, and so were some of their lower quality looks, for that matter. The Spurs just went to that happy place, where every three-pointer is accompanied by candy raining from the sky, and each swift cutter left behind them the scent of freshly baked cinnamon buns. SanAn won’t be able to tap into this kind of nirvana on a nightly basis, but this is what the Spurs are capable of when the five on the floor start harmonizing.

Rose's 33 points aren't enough as Bulls lose 103-94
Spurs use dominant 3rd quarter to vault into lead and go on to 8th straight victory
By K.C. Johnson, Tribune reporter
SAN ANTONIO — Tom Thibodeau has talked consistently about striving to make the Bulls a 48-minute team.
Wednesday night at the AT&T Center, the Bulls took at least 12 minutes off.
A brutal third quarter doomed the Bulls in a 103-94 loss to the Spurs, who now have won eight straight.
The Bulls were outscored 37-12 in the third, allowing the Spurs to sink 15 of 21 shots and missing 17 of 23 themselves.
The Bulls led by as many as 17 in a brilliant second quarter in which, for the second straight night, they received a huge boost from their bench.

Richard Jefferson's three-point play early in the fourth gave the Spurs their largest lead at 83-65, representing a 35-point swing. Runs happen in the NBA, but that's a sprint.
"We had way too many breakdowns," Joakim Noah said. "They played a great second half, but there are a lot of things I have to fix. I'm not happy with the way I played. I have to do a better job of clogging up the paint."
Earlier, Ronnie Brewer led a 16-2, second-quarter run with a monster dunk and six points. Kyle Korver added a 3-pointer and fed Omer Asik for another dunk as the Spurs went 4:33 without scoring.
But the start of the third brought fumbling, bumbling and a hot Thibodeau, who burned two timeouts as the Spurs ripped off a 22-4 run amid numerous blown defensive assignments.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich started Matt Bonner in place of DeJuan Blair to open the second half, and Bonner's shooting and court spacing energized them.
"Bonner has been playing well and we were concerned about that lineup because he spreads you out as a range-shooting power forward," Thibodeau said. "And then we didn't stop penetration. We have to adjust better, keep the ball in front and challenge shots."
Thibodeau eventually matched the small lineup, moving Luol Deng to power forward, but not before Taj Gibson missed all seven shots. He's now 1-for-16 on the trip.
"Guys are telling me I can do other things like rebounding and defense even though I'm struggling to shoot," Gibson said. "I have to keep shooting and not hesitate. It's kind of tough. I'm OK physically. My reaction to everything is to keep playing."
Said Thibodeau: "Taj hasn't shot the ball well in the last two games but he has played well. I don't want him to measure himself on misses and makes. He can help us a lot of other ways with defense and rebounding. There are going to be nights he doesn't shoot well but he still has to be effective for us. He was hesitating. And to me, if you're open you shoot. I want him to stay in motion."
Derrick Rose picked up where he left off with his dominant fourth quarter in Houston, sinking four straight shots —including a 3-pointer — to pull the Bulls within 85-78 midway through the fourth.
But Manu Ginobili sank a 3-pointer out of a timeout and, following a Rose miss, Tony Parker scored two of his 21 points. After a C.J. Watson jumper, George Hill sank another bomb from beyond the arc for the league's top 3-point shooting team.
The Bulls made one last run, pulling to 97-91 on Korver's 3-pointer. But following a Watson steal, Deng, who is 12-for-38 on the trip, missed a wide-open baseline jumper and Parker scored.
Tim Duncan had 16 points and 18 rebounds.
Rose finished with 33 points for the second straight game, including 13 in the fourth. Thibodeau paired Rose with Watson down the stretch in an attempt to get more scoring on the court.
"It's hard taking over games, especially as a point guard," Rose said. "Usually the people who finish games in this league play other positions. The point guard usually sets up the play and delivers the ball. But right now, I'm shooting."
The Bulls felt they wasted an opportunity.
"They got us back on our heels to start the third," Thibodeau said. "In the fourth, we fought back and were in position. You can't make mistakes against them. And we made a lot of mistakes in the second half.
"To win on the road, you have to play 48 minutes. And we're still not doing that. We have to eliminate the lulls."
