newegg ran this price around thanksgiving, but it was for a WD drive. It's $99 now.

Yeah, newegg has two models for $99 and buy.com has one.

Dell has the internal green WD 2TB for $69 but you have to go through the stupid rebate process as well as pay shipping and tax in TX.

Good find. Even techbargains missed this one. It's USB 3.0 and adapters can be bought to make it eSATA or firewire compatible.

internals are around that price anyway...your better of going after a reputable manufacture cause u dont wanna go through the proces of rma a product

'Eh, Seagate and 5900 RPM? Think I'll have to pass on that one. I wish that $99 price on the WD Black 1.5TB would have been available a couple of weeks ago when I ordered it though.

as a storage drive i imagine it would work pretty well. but seagates seem to shit the bed after a year for me.
