newegg ran this price around thanksgiving, but it was for a WD drive. It's $99 now.

Yeah, newegg has two models for $99 and buy.com has one.

Dell has the internal green WD 2TB for $69 but you have to go through the stupid rebate process as well as pay shipping and tax in TX.

Good find. Even techbargains missed this one. It's USB 3.0 and adapters can be bought to make it eSATA or firewire compatible.

as a storage drive i imagine it would work pretty well. but seagates seem to the bed after a year for me.
