Oh yeah.

That's what we're paying him for.

To take all the time he wants to be with his family.

I could understand the first two games.

But not the third game. Get your ass back here and play.

Tim's father died, he missed one game, and he was back for the next one.

Why should I care if my who runs her own business and is her own boss, decided to start working the day after the funeral.

This thread is sickening.

You don't know him or his circumstance with his mother. Did she die suddenly or had she been sick and he expected it? If she died suddenly, then maybe he needs until next season to recover from it. Maybe he just needs until next week. But no matter how long he needs, it doesn't matter. His employer (the Spurs) told him to take as long as he needed to get himself together. He's doing that. If they aren't questioning him, then you shouldn't be.

R.I.P to his mom.

Because:

A. If Robinson is allowed to miss as many games.

B. Isn't Tim as well.

But because he's the main guy, the franchise, he can't.

You see where I'm going with it.

With one man you give him all the time.

With another you don't because it'll hurt the team.

Now why the fuck are you calling me out on being classless, not caring, etc.

You seriously need to get your priorities straight. If he's not ready to come back, he'd be useless on the court anyway. Basketball is just a game. You may remember some people said this same shit when Timmy's dad died--they said he had an obligation to play because he was getting paid so much to play. Fuck that. When I lived in L.A., one of my business partners died suddenly. My other partner (his girlfriend) took about 4 months off of work. It wasn't even her relative -- just her long-term boyfriend. You can't judge how long people need to recover from a death of a loved one. Some people go to work the next day -- because that's how they handle it. Some people can't even leave their bed for while -- because that's how they handle it.
