That said, a few minor corrections to your comments. 1) Given that I'm female and CH and I have had sex many, many, many times, I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's heterosexual. 2) CH's new computer case is amazing; you probably just don't know that because you've only seen a photo. 3) Anyone who needs to say he's had "hotter" is usually compensating for the fact that he's a pasty, pimple-covered virgin who needs to discover the treadmill. 4) Jesus God Almighty, what the fuck is going on with those calf tattoos? They don't even remotely compare to mine. The tattoo down my ribs is one of the most painful places you can get a tattoo....getting one on your calf? Not badass, just really, really stupid. Playing everything on max detail.... probably 18-24 months.

Playing everything on high... 3-4 years, depending on if any insane new tech comes out that completely revolutionizes gaming.

Running new games acceptably well... 5-6 years or so, plus the ability to upgrade the video card and have that much more horsepower.

If you get a dud from newegg, the RMA process to get a new replacement is painless. Newegg's customer service is impeccable in my experience, and I have been using them for about 10 years or so. It's not just because I'm a long-time customer either; friends I refer to them have the same experiences on the rare times something arrives broken or is malfunctioning. They must have a special agreement with UPS even, as every time I ship with brown my shit gets trashed when I pack it to the same standards newegg does. Whenever I get a UPS shipment from newegg the box is in great shape. :lol

I can't see any reason why you would want SSD raid. If you were doing Mirroring, then it would be really REALLY cost prohibitive and if you were doing striping I am not sure that you would be able to notice the speed difference.

This. Raid 0 with SSD does not offer nearly the speed increase to warrant utilizing it, if any at all.

Hard drives are fast enough today for me to not ever even think about RAID 0. It's a technique of the past for the most part.

In fairness, I haven't needed to. :lol And both times I've tried to OC my 2500k, I've had weird BIOS errors. For some reason it defaults to legacy drivers when I flip the OC on, and then it doesn't want to recognize the SSD to boot from.

Do you have a Z series board? OC is easy as shit man, especially on a 2500k considering they have solder between the die and the heatspreader instead of the shitty TIM they introduced in Ivy Bridge and beyond.

So, what I realized is that the auto-OC on the board was set to 4.2 GHZ. So when I tried it the first time, no wonder things went fucky with it. :lol

But still, the last time I tried a modest OC (3.7ghz) and it still doesn't like to boot from the SSD when I turn on the OC settings. It's weird. I think it's probably not a big deal, I am just too lazy to sit down and hash out the boot sequence.
