It's called familiarity...I'm used to seeing the best do it...so it's hard to take a step back...:lol seriously I don't watch Spur games...I really don't never have unless they're playing LA...I just have no interest in the Spurs and I don't find their brand of basketball compelling...tbh I think it's because of Kobe and Shaq and now Kobe...they've spoiled me no doubt....who knows maybe one after Kobe hangs it up...I'd feel more compelled to check the Spurs out on occasion....

To be honest, the Spurs team does scare me as a fan. The last time I was scared as a fan was when I saw a young Manu play. Now, given that it's still nowhere near the playoffs I'm not too worried, however the Spurs are playing historic ball right now.

I never though the Spurs were boring per se, to me the issue is when they play another deliberate team. Spurs Finals were boring (except) Detroit because their opponents played a half-court style (cavs/Knicks) or were poor shooters (nets). Many of their Western Conference series were entertaining except the teams they swept out ...even the Sacto series a few years back where Bonzi and artest went off ...was VERY entertaining to me.

For me, two thing smake an exciting game or series. Styles (like in boxing) make a contest interesting ...TBH. If you have two uptempo teams and you enjoy scoring, then Phoenix vs. Denver ... or OKC vs. NYK ... or ANYONE vs. Gstate is exciting basketball.

If you prefer star power and classic rivals LAL vs. Boston. IF you enjoy a defensive struggle the Pistons vs. spurs NBA finals or the old Knicks vs. Heat series were defensive clinics ...

Point is, I love NBA basketball and as long as teams play hard I can appreciate any style of ball. Sure the Spurs (outside of Neal and Frenchy) are boring off the court but on it they have played quality ball for over a decade ...

and I disagree Lakers are boring ...but I do find their strategy predictable but I have been watching this version of the triangle and Kobe blay for over a decade ...so that is the only part that is not exciting. Lakers actually play some great ball when the ball moves and or Kobe utilizes his team-mates or is in a zone ...
