I trust Dice when it matters. I think he will have a very good playoff.
Manu with some good drives. He really needs to get his legs back. If he does, with the way Tim and TP are playing, Spurs will be good.
Tim's rebounding has been great the past two games. Not even looking at the numbers, he is just really going after it. His outlets from boards are great as well (he was having trouble with TO's off of that early this year). His jumper seems to have resurfaced and is money.
TP is playing a great level since he's back as well. It's not just the points, but he looks better. He is more engaged and is gliding around.

Very productive minutes from Tiago. Well done. With Tim and TP in, Spurs should get the lead back.
You asked for it ... they delivered. You can see that Timmys legs are still fresh because of the injury rest ... jumper looks good.

Tim is getting his hands on seemingly every board. Tim playing at this level really inspires hope. He looks fantastic. Why can't Manu start getting to the free throw line a ton and start dunking on fools to inspire confidence :cry
If he joins Tim's and Tony's level our big 3 looks scary :wow
RJ can't even stay with Chase on defense. So frustrating. Neal with a super tough match up on Martin.

No hand checking on the perimeter has shifted the advantage a long way in the offensive player's direction, particularly slashers. We used to win games in the 70s and 80s and rarely scored 100, but no team can do that consistently any more, so the rules changes have definitely affected the way the game is played. That's no excuse for our pathetic defense this season, but it does partly explain why Pop was able to win with a defensive focus earlier in the decade.
Also, Bruce should be in the HoF. He was a truly special defender, once in a generation guy.

Maybe it's time TD went MJ on RJ...get up in his face, challenge his commitment and pride.
Same-same for TD with Pop regarding Bonnerball.

The best part is they get to enjoy RJ and Bonner for another 3-4 years.
And to think I was pilloried in the off-season for criticising the RJ re-signing... :rolleyes
As I said at the time, I'd rather have rolled with Rasual Butler and not been paying RJ 10m/yr for 4 yrs which hamstrings the cap.
Bonner is a little overpaid, but not the disaster that the RJ contract is.

The Spurs' defensive scheme is to outscore the other team from the perimeter.
Because that is this Spur's team strength.

Don't dispute the rules changed the game, and that Bowen was something else defensively. But teams still win with defense. Look up the Finals games for the past few seasons and they're rarely over 100 points.
Meaning, teams still play sound defense, even with the new rules. I agree we don't have the personnel to, though.

+1. What really hurts the this Spurs team, with the exception of Duncan, is not one of the starters is an above average defender. George Hill is the teams best perimeter defender, but he by no means is an elite defender, not to mention hes an undersized 2 guard. Looking at this current Spurs team, the only way they can suceed is to outscore and out execute their opponents.
