That's no excuse for our pathetic defense this season, but it does partly explain why Pop was able to win with a defensive focus earlier in the decade.

Also, Bruce should be in the HoF. He was a truly special defender, once in a generation guy.

George Hill is the teams best perimeter defender, but he by no means is an elite defender, not to mention hes an undersized 2 guard. manu has too many games through out the year where is a ghost for 3 quarters and some times the whole game. yes he averages close to 20 but most of those pts come when he scores 30 back to back and then gets 6, 7, 10 the next 3, the 12, 15, 30, back to 6, 10, 0
