My apologies if it's already common knowledge, but the first I heard of it was a casual mention at http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/basketball/nba/spurs/stories/MYSA060805.3C.BKNspurs.notebook.2f11123df.html this morning:
Baby on board: Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said he was flattered to hear that a local couple, Renee San Miguel and Jorge Ramirez, named their newborn son Ginobili.

"That's what happens whenever your team is so important in the community," Ginobili said.

He said he's pretty sure he's not the only Spurs player to be so honored.

"(The attention) is just because my name is so particular," Ginobili said. "I bet there are many Duncans and Robinsons out there."

Ginobili said he planned to talk to expectant parents Tim and Amy Duncan about naming their child after him.

"Ginobili Duncan," he said. "That sounds good." Congratulations to them! :elephant

Yes it's common knowledge and has been in several threads. But since you missed it, you should know that PJ's wife had a baby a couple days ago and the following wives are expecting ..

Mrs. Duncan
Mrs. Bowen
Mrs. Marks
Mrs. Mohammed
Mrs. Budenholzer

Sounds like they need to build a nursery beside the practice center. Of course, it won't be like the spectacle Seattle had when Kemp was there. The Shawn Kemp Jr. Center was able to house 350 kids. And also the kids from the rest of the guys on the team other than Kemp.

Allright fine then, Tony Emanuel. Duncan

if its a girl I definitely would like "Sainte" . Sainte Duncan . Sainte Marie Duncan. Sainte Michelle Duncan.

knowing Duncan is from St Croix and will now be living the rest of the way in
San Antonio. Saint is logical.

... and a friend of mine read on a tony message board that she was expecting twins... but I haven't read/heard that anywhere else. Don Harris mentioned it was a girl, so I assume he checked his facts. :lol

I'm more concerned with the due date. Anyone know if the rumored "around-Finals" time is true?

Whatever the outcome, congrats to ALL the expectant moms and dads. It's such an exciting time! :)

That's a lot of se . . . er, babies!

Congrats to all the parents to be and wishes for a full, healthy pregnancy to all the moms (just learned that my friend gave birth friday to a baby girl who wasn't due until August, so it's on my mind)!

The whole "errrr" sound is not very feminine....

As in Walter, Gunther, Peter, even the names Hector and Edgar carry the same sound... all masculine.
