Why in hell the Spurs (TP) are ignoring Manu on offense, he's 6-7 in 2nd half...

He was making the diffrence and hasn't even touched the ball in 3 mins... they should run the PnR with him and TD, not Tony...

I think the Pistons still got one more run in them, Spurs got to keep this intensity and don't let down like in 2003.
Isn't that a given? Every team has one more run in them - but can that team make the run work?
The Spurs are playing their game and the Spurs have decided to make it work. Once they get down to the nitty-gritty, it's pretty much over for the Pistons...
Still think that the Pistons can adjust, but not tonight. Much love to you all... :elephant

Tim Duncan finishes with 24 points and 17 boards. (AP)

That was an unbelievable game. To be down 17-4 and then come back and not just win but kick the shit out of them was just stunning. Manu Ginobili is redefining basketball. He is changing the game, and I can't help but think that while everybody has been looking every year to the first pick of the draft to be the next Michael Jordan, he's been here all along (and a second rounder at that). The Piston fans must be complaining about the officiating error in the 4th quarter, and thought that the T-foul on B Wallace changed the entire game. But the TRUTH is, the Spurs is going to win this game regardless of the refs, as Parker and Ginobili, well rested by Pop through the first 3 quarters, lead the team soaring to victory. And this is made possible because the Spurs has got more reliable reserves. Just wonder how it can be if Devin gets back to full health.

The scary thing is if you take the last series as models and the fact that we played rusty. The spurs still can play alot better. Manu was crap in the first half. Parker was not consistent. Bowen, Barry, and Horry will hit more shots than they miss.

Bottom line is the Pistons better be able to keep turning it up under the pressure because the Spurs are going to play better.

Manu needs to learn the bounce pass. Bounce passes get through much more that the baseball pass. I dunno how many times he whipped it and someone got a hand on it. Much harder and less instinctual to bend down to the floor to deflect a bounce pass.

Manu's got a great bounce pass, but it's hard to get a bounce pass to a bigman like Duncan in traffic. Naturally, this is why they rely on quick postup passes and lobs.

I was glad Jimcs text messaged Pop on his cell during the 2nd timeout. Good adjustments call there Jim, as usual.

(I thought I'd save you the trouble :) ) :hat

Pop gambled and it payed off. I've always like Pop's timeouts and substitutions. He knows when to do it and how to do it. The court is a chess board and he is Bobby Fisher.

Nazr, Manu , TD & Glen 0wned det 2night, but it's only game 1, this should be a great long series to watch with hopefully the Spurs the Champs!

You tell me this guy doesn't want to win. He played defense like his life dependent on it. He lead the team in blocks. Good job Big Dog. It was to the point were I wanted him in there and got mad when he went with Barry instead of him.

What to say. The start was horrible :pctoss . Tony parker was doing shit almost whole game, he must better to stop Billups next game. Dbrown also did not do much. The players who play good were Duncan, Robinson, and efcourse GINOBILI :smokin :smokin , he was unbelivable in secont halftime especialy in 4th quarter. He saved us with that dunk at the end and then hit a tree :smokin :smokin :smokin :smokin

And Rasho could easily play some minutes , but ages Pop is to smart :lol

"Dbrown also did not do much"

Come on. You should be happy that Devin appeared to be 100%. It's his first Finals, and first serious game minutes since he hurt his back @DET.

he averaged a block every 2 minutes last night, he should get more burn the rest of the series

He probably won't get a lot of PT, but last night he contributed significantly, in his first Finals appearance. He was ready when the call came, like a real pro. That alone should shut anybody up about the legitimacy of his very short path to perhaps owning a ring. From waivers road-kill and mid-season free agency to Finals shot-blocker!

I'm glad no Spurs fans commited suicide in the first quarter.

Glenn Robinson was huge on defense and had a momentum changing dunk on a steal. I jumped out of my seat when he blocked Prince.

Keep it up Big Dog. And I liked when he dunked with some authority that was sweet.

That was an awesome play by Big. That dunk was nice too, it was nice to see a Spurs player throw it down with authority like that, Nazr was trying to do that as well.

Had we had vBookie on which Spurs would have the most blks in the game, I think the odds on GRob winning that category would have been 100-1.
