This has been a phenomenal series imo. The scores haven't always indicated it because of one big inning or a grandslam, but every single game has been extremely close and competitive. Two extra inning games. Another 1 run game. And pretty much every game has been so intense because the games are so close.
I'm proud of the Tigers for finding a way to keep it competitive. The Rangers have the more talented team. They have a much better offense and a lights out bullpen. The Tigers starting pitchers have done a really great job giving the team a chance in pretty much every game.
I like the starting pitching match-ups for the next two games. Scherzer-Holland and Fister-Lewis. Doesn't guarantee anything, but I think the Tigers have a fighting chance. If it's close late, obviously have to give the edge to the Rangers with that bullpen, the depth of their line-up, and being at home. Tigers should really try to get early runs to have a chance.
Win or lose, I think it's been a fantastic series.

Win or go home for the Tigers. Obviously, one game at a time. Can't get to game 7 without winning game 6 first. Hopefully, they scratch a few early runs on Holland before Ogando, Adams, Feliz. If it's close, even if the Tigers are up a run or two, the Rangers will be in good position to close. Need a strong and gutsy outing from Scherzer. Would be nice to see him get through 7 innings with 2 or fewer allowed. He needs to use that sinking change-up as an out pitch. That's the pitch that's given him a lot of success and made his fastball more effective. Hopefully some more big hits from the middle of the line-up and would love to see a few more lucky bounces go Detroit's way.
Go Tigers!

Rangers are beastly no denying that. Great series but tonight is a pretty rough night to be a Tigers fan. I really thought it could go to game 7. Still pissed about the ump kissing up to George Bush before the game telling him how big a fan his wife is then making the no call on Cruz when he didnt check his swing as McCarver made clear. That would have been a third out Sherzer would have stayed in and done who knows what. But good game.

McCarver: "Last year, there may have been some questions as to whether Texas was the best team in the American League. This year, there are no questions."

Prince Albert does scare me, but I'm sure Cruz scares St. Louis even more.

Actually its sad that they had to. Im sure Hamilton and Washington ran into the clubhouse and did a celebratory rail of coke the size of the third base line.

The bullshit continues. Now this means I will have to root for the NL! This fucking sucks. What a lame ass 8 days it has been: The Phillies give away their world series trophy, the Giants give the win to the Seahawks, and now the Rangers lucked their way into the world series. I am not impressed with Texas at all. Their starting pitching sucks ass, and it will come back to haunt them in the world series. You don't win championships with average starting pitching. It will catch up to those fuckers in the next round!

i think the cards take it. they are on that magical run. its strange to see in this era of the pitcher the starters on the world series will basically suck. the starters from texas do not impress me one bit. they won inspite of them not with their help. the only bad thing about this win is it keeps cruz on the bench and liable to cool down.

another reason why the term "pitching wins championships" is bullcrap, just like "defense wins championships". i absolutely hate those phrases.
if you have great pitching or great defense, and no hitting or no offense, you cant win. it takes a full team effort to win a championship. Phillies had one of, if not the greatest rotation of starting pitchers ever, but pretty mediocre hitting, and they ended up losing to the playoff team with the worst record and needed incredible luck just to make it into the playoffs.

Congrats to Texas and their fans. Well deserved series win. Outstanding bullpen with rock-solid clutch hitting.
You'll win the WS.
