Yes, there were errors and such but this has to be the most entertaining, tense game i've ever seen. Good stuff.
I guess so. I'm a Cards fan but I also like Texas. It was a shitfest. I like technical games where people like Vince Coleman would steal home, or where managers would play a chess match with pitchers and hitters, and they made other teams beat them with the long ball, not base hit singles (though I've seen some decent ones). This one just felt like Texas stopped playing when they got up a couple runs. The next batter would swing at everything, like "let's get this over". STL was having nothing to do with that shit. That's all they got though, shit for NFL and no NBA teams, so STL and Missouri IS baseball.

I almost feel like if he wanted to avoid the wall altogether, just don't even go for the catch and play it safely off the wall and maybe, MAYBE only one run scores and they still win.

I'm not 100 percent shocked about the choke job tonight. If you are a Mavs fan, you know that it is not over til it's over. After experiencing what happened in 2006, you realize that anything is possible. And If you are a Cubs' fan, you also know anything is possible. Of course, the Rangers would choke on St. Louis' dick when they are a strike away from winning the world series. Not once but twice. Not a good sign.
I'm not getting my hopes up in game 7. It was so painful tonight. More painful than watching the Mavs in the Finals. But at the end of the day, I still have my Mavs and their championship. :toast

This game wasn't "great". It was exciting, but it was played very shitty by Texas. The Cards just capitalized on the Rangers' choke job. If you think that's great gaming, you should think the 2006 NBA series was epic.
Errors and injuries are a part of the game, and part of what make them classics. Kirk Gibson's injury in 88, Buckner's error in 86, etc.
Errors in injuries are part of the game. Texas choked. I called it when they were up.
The Cards just beat who they were supposed to beat.
I could tell you why Washington shit the bed on this, but it wouldn't be PC.

I don't care if no one gives a shit that the Mavs won. Mavs fans and the Mavs now have a championship and no one can ever take it away. Not Stern, or butt hurt non Mavs fans.
I was mad about tonight but like I said the Mavs won back in June. It takes a little of the pain away in my opinion. And the Mavs are my favorite DFW team anyways.
If the Rangers win game 7, no one will remember game 6. If they lose game 7, everyone will remember they lost game 6 and were 1 strike away from a championship twice. I'm not getting my hopes though.

Not to mention it would be the third time in 7 games the Rangers get to see him. I'm sure by now, they should be able to make some adjustments and get hits off of him.

I was kinda thinking the same, but at the same time they are plugging in a rookie who has barely played. And even though he wasnt doing well, he is still a threat to break out at any time. At least that threat is likely gone.
How do you see tonights game going, Jammy?
JamStone
10-28-2011, 05:36 PM
Yeah but Craig has actually had some big hits in the series. I'd take his bat over Holliday, and I would assume Holliday is still available to pinch hit for the pitcher's spot tonight at some point. Is he out completely? I don't know what's been reported. But you add that pinky to his already weak bat, I think it's better for Craig to start and get the 3-4 ABs instead of Holliday.
I have no idea about tonight's game. Going into the series, I thought the Rangers had a chance to roll through the Cardinals because of their offense. I think it's played out that the two teams are pretty evenly matched. In a game 7 though, I guess you would have to give some type of advantage to the home team. Probably a similar scenario as some of the other games, fairly low scoring through the first 4-5 innings, then both offenses wake up against the bullpen. I know going into the series, both bullpens were the story. But I think the pressure has gotten to the relievers on both sides. And that's where the game will be decided. I expect both Carpenter and Harrison to be at least solid to start the game.
I'll say this though. I don't care how well or poorly Pujols is swinging the bat, I wouldn't let him see one pitch anywhere near the plate unless the bases are empty and it's early in the game (first 3 innings). After that, he's not seeing a good pitch the rest of the game. If Berkman and Freese beat you, so be it.

If Texas lost on that play, sure.
But it was still tied and even after Texas again took the lead, they managed to fuck it up.
Mainly due to the managing of Washington
What is less talked about is Washington burning out Ogando against Detroit and he was spent by the World Series.
Washington did not lose this series by himself. This was a team effort.

The Rangers just don't have a go to guy. They don't have a hall of fame player that can carry their team. I know it's mean but it's true. Just look at all the other teams in DFW and their histories. The Stars had Hall of Famer players when they won in 1999. The Cowboys had Hall of Famer players back when they won in the 1970s and 1990s. And the Mavs have two Hall of Famers also.

son that's still better than being the Buffalo Bills of MLB
Cruz = Buckner ... well nevermind I shouldn't even hate on Buckner like that. hell at least he TRIED to stop the ball unlike Cruz who was just lolly gagging around as if the final out of a World Series championship was no big deal and was more concerned with bumping into the wall instead of catching the routine fly ball. what a lazy slob.

I have no problem with that because at the end of the day, the Mavs will always be the champs of 2011. It will always be there. Like Dirk said, no one can ever take it away. They have a championship. I'd rather have one fluke championship than no championships at all. I just hate the fuckin Cardinals. I've always hated that team. Horrible pitching, completely shitty. In fact, the Cards didn't even need a hit to have as many runs as the Rangers.
How do you bring in a pitcher who hits the the batter with the first fucking pitch with bases loaded? How does that happen in game 7 of the series?

Seriously, this. I wouldn't get rid of all of them, but CJ needs to go. You can't have your ace fucking up that badly.
And they need some stronger clubhouse leaders who have been there to calm guys down, especially the pitchers. I haven't seen incompetence like that in a while. Everytime tha Rangers scored runs in Games 6/7, the Cards equaled it soon after. During the first inning tonight, I had to laugh, because it was so damn predictable they'd immediately bring the crowd back to life by giving up at least 2 runs.
Jacob1983
10-29-2011, 04:10 AM
The Rangers need three things: a proven closer, an ace, and steroids for Josh. If they had those three things, they would be champs right now. Feliz should not be the fuckin closer. Get rid of him or make him the set up guy but not the closer. He can't handle the pressure. And CJ Wilson is not worthy of being the ace of any team in baseball. He is at best maybe a 3rd or 4th starter. Why not get Brad Lidge? The Phillies told him to fuck off so why not?

I meant this guy:
Pathetic. Losing to a fluke NL wild card team and getting fucked by the umpires. What a joke. Sad. Well, all the Rangers can do is try to win game 4. If they lose game 4 then this shit is over. But like I said, this is really sad and somewhat pathetic. They are playing a team that shouldn't have even been in the playoffs and losing to them. No excuses.
All of the Cardinals jizz drinkers must be thrilled that their team is getting close to number 11.

Yeah, I made a mistake. What else is new? All the Dirk and Mav haters are jizzing tonight. I just took a xanax so I'm kind of mellowing down. And I've recently started to reconsider suicide. And before you bitch me out or call me a pussy, this has nothing to do with the Mavs. I'm miserable right now in my life and I'm starting to come to a breaking point. I'm stuck at a dead end job with shitty pay and I get treated like a piece of shit too there. No respect at all. I am a hopeless piece of shit and prick. I wasted 5 and a half years in college in the hopes of possibly getting a good paying job or at least a decent paying job. I've been stuck in retail for almost 3 years making a whopping 15K a year.
