What about it? I'm not very surprised. As US et all turn up the heat on Afghanistan, they're going to leak out into areas we aren't looking/fighting. Not to mention that the Middle East Muslim community aren't huge fans of us; there's probably some Libyans who are willing to take up their sowrds against us.
Not sure where you're going with this.
I'm talking about knowingly delivering Libya into the hands of Al Qaeda and training this guy at Guantanamo Bay to lead the cause

Repatriated in the fall of 2007.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libyan_detainees_at_Guantanamo_Bay#cite_note-Spectator20071001-3) In 2011, he emerged as a rebel leader in the Libyan civil war (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Libyan_civil_war) against Muammar Gaddafi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muammar_Gaddafi)

I think its comical that a bunch of ignorant kids (Dok, mouse2moose, et al.) really do think they have it all figured out. They're simply trying to enlighten the rest of us with their vast knowledge. You guys should probably go back to your bag of weed and your Occupy whatever protests, and let the rest of us live in "ignorance".
I know you took or are taking some classes in school on politics and history, but that doesnt automatically make you an expert...k?

And? Gaddafi sucked. I'm sure whoever replaced him will also suck. You might want to be less open-ended with your questions.

So then what the fuck was the point of bombing another country (an act of war) without congressional approval again? I mean if all we did was replace one asshole with another..doesn't make sense to me unless *GASP* we had our own ulterior motives for getting involved...

I'm getting at the fact that America is so far gone that we all know we delivered Libya into the hands of jihadists, we all know that Obama did it without congressional approval, we all know that guys from Guantanamo lead the charge, we all know that we were fighting side by side with the al qaeda boogeyman, AND NOBODY GIVES A FUCKING SHIT.

we all KNOW there were no wmd's, we KNOW that we are shipping the opium out of afghanistan and the soldiers grow it and guard the crops, we KNOW that the wars were a mistake, yet we are still there 10 years later, and NOBODY has been held accountable. Over 1 MILLION iraqi's dead, that's just unbelievable. You claim to be an intelligent sensible guy, so stop acting like what our military that you work for is doing the right things. You know it's fucked up, I know it, the american people know it, you ain't convincing anyone..

I think I've stated numerous times that I didn't agree with the Iraq war. But soldiers don't make the decisions on whether to go to war or not. Civilians do.
As I've said before, I'm rather isolationist myself.

we are shipping the opium, who are you referring to?
what soldiers grow opium and guard it?
You talk about afghanistan and then go to iraq. Who killed the one million iraqis?
Do you even know what the ROE in Afghanistan and Iraq are? What about the SOP's?

All citizens vote in representatives. Those representatives determine if we go to war or not. Can generals utilaterally decide to go to war against Congress?

I see where you are going with this but it's a dead end and I think you realized it before you did it.
We vote for congressmen, we do not vote for wars. It's not put up to popular public vote.
You already know this, so you are basically equivocating the two "votes" to try to save face here.
Just admit you're wrong on this one and move on. You're not going to win it.

What him and others are doing is akin to arguing that, because the government does fucked up things, all government workers are fucked up people.
Regardless which company anyone works for, if it's big enough, there will be fucked up things that company does. It doesn't mean the employees agree with it.
The military isn't something you give a 2 weeks notice on and quit. You can, but they will come take you back to work and you will be once again standing at attention in chow hall.

You will end up in a CCF and you will be standing at attention in chow hall.
I've seen it a few times, mostly those who just decide to not come in to work. Those who go on extended leaves and have to be tracked down, that's a different story.

Thanks! I'll be a Project Manager, which correlates pretty well with what I did in the Air Force...only these system improvements won't be weapon system improvements!
Honestly I didn't go through their military recruiting group to apply, but I do think it's awesome there's a formalized effort to get that type of leadership and experience unique to the military into private industry.
