NASpurs

I say keep it. Might help sway things in the direction of blowing things up if enough players get injured or it also might help people who want Bonner on the bench (one way or another). Yeah morbid way to look at things but whatever.

Look at it this way. If someone else substantial gets hurt, we're lottery bound.

And if it's Bonner...well, we just got better.

Update on TJ Ford injury: Torn left hamstring, out 4-6 weeks

Amuseddaysleeper
01-11-2012, 07:27 PM
Man, now 'm more nervous know about injuries than the game itself

Hopefully Kawhi gets the start.

I wanna see if the Spurs do anything different when it comes to Scola even if his footwork is just too good.

I thought Duncan's post D in the Milwaukee was the best we've seen from him this season. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt that way, but there was some possessions where his D on Bogut was a thing of beauty.

Splitter did a great job on Scola last time, so they should stick with that.

Knowing Pop, Bonner will get 27 minutes playing time tonight to spread the floor and to lockdown Scola. Splitter will keep Thomas company on the bench.

Kevin Martin is listed as probable to play tonight with flu-like symptoms. Courtney Lee is listed as day-to-day with a strained right calf.

per max sports twitter:

Spurs G TJ Ford expected to miss 4-6 weeks with longitudinal tear of his left hamstring.; not sure if this is any worse than another type of tear?

It's weird with Neal how if he has someone on him and shoots it, I feel full confidence in his shot.

But if he's completely open, I feel like he's gonna miss.

RMJ was the same way, though Neal is obviously a 1000 times better.

RuffnReadyOzStyle

At this point in his career? Tim is very predictable... You can never be too old to learn. He does that same driving through the lane that gets blocked 80% of the time. His jump shot is great, but in the post, at this point, he's pretty predictable.

Tim's running hook and jumper from the top are money this year. OTOH, his drop-step, up-and-under, turn and hook, etc. is almost guaranteed to be blocked because he has absolutely no lift off two feet.

You missed my point. He used to have a variety of moves he could go to because his legs still worked. Now he has to go to a limited set of moves because he's not strong or quick enough to get away with many of the moves he built his career on. He's only predictable because his body has let him down. He still knows more about the post than just about any other guy out there.
