Williams already clinched 6 Man of the Year and also a candidate for Most Improved.
And no one ever talked about him before this year.

Wonder what Splitter's averages would be this year if he averaged 27 min, and had finally started after the Dallas loss.
And you'd think he'd get more than 17 min in a game where he shot 7-10 and had ZERO fouls.
Nope. Pop has his minutes just right. If he gets anymore he will start to get worse.

:wow Pop actually mentioned Splitter as a reason why the Spurs are winning. He named him after Matt Bonner, Danny Green and Gary Neal ... and after a long pause ... but he named him.
Baby steps.

This doesn't really deserve its own thread, but I figured I'd post it here. The Portland announcers gave the Spurs quite a bit of praise a couple of minutes ago on NBA TV.
They praised the fact that the Spurs have been able to attain the record that they have without Ginobili, and they said the Spurs would be the "team of the second half [of the season]" They said the Spurs would probably be the one team that can chase OKC down for the top regular season record in the West.
Props were given to Gary Neal (and the spurs bench in general, though Neal was the only one mentioned) for stepping up in Ginobili's absence.
