You guys are taking this way too seriously. It was always going to be a loss. The margin doesn't really matter. It's been interesting to see who is going to step up and who isn't. At the moment, Dawson is finally getting his bearings, and Kawhi has a new career high.

I agree, Im just nervous that this will hurt some of the players mentally.

I'm just mad the team other than Leonard decided to come out flat as hell. I didn't think we were going to win anyway but considering this bench has helped us win so many games this year, I would have expected them to play more focused.

Pop is always trying to outsmart the game, just like he did last year and played Manu the final game against Phoenix. IIRC he chose to sit him out the game before, but decided to play him for no particular reason.

So did we learn anything from this game? Did we unveil any untapped potential?

I see Kawhi has 21 points on 9-11 shooting. Does he actually have some offense that doesn't involve cutting to the basket off the ball or offensive put-backs?

Takeaways from this game -

* Kawhi Leonard needs some plays designed for him. Good kid.

* Richard Jefferson sucks as small ball PF as much as wing SF as much as anything else.

* Eric Dawson gets first rights to junk minutes in the next 4 games before Splitter returns.

* Hopefully the Spurs can persuade David Kahn to take Joseph and Anderson and sell us Anthony Randolph.

This display tonight shows why he should coddle them. 11 in a row with them, and look at this performance with them sitting. Too valuable to not rest them every once and a while in this condensed season.

Things to take away from this game:
1. Kawhi should be a serious candidate for Rookie of the Year. I know Kyrie Irving is going to get it, but Leonard is really something.
2. RJ is completly useless. He can't even be a leader for the bench. If he isn't amnestied this Summer RC and Pop should be killed.
3. Blair is a liability in the starting lineup, but can be a positive piece for the bench.
4. Dawson should continue to be given a chance. He's got potential (at least it seems so).
5. I know Pop wanted to give TP and TD rest, but this is ridiculous. If the bench loses confidence from this loss it's on him.
6. lol Anderson. Get your ass back on the end of the bench and stay there.

Feel free to add on.

The Spurs are the only team that rests their starters so much. Any other NBA team would be playing their starters in blowouts like these. Which is why it's such a surprising thing to Spurs fans.

+A shit load.... Pop started limiting Tim's Minutes when he was like 28 years old and Ginobili's when he was 27. Manu could have put up superstar numbers in his prime when he wasn't as prone to injury, but he didn't because he never was allowed to play more than like 30 mpg. (lol, this makes me a little upset since I am a huge Manu fan and I know he could've consistenly put up at LEAST 20 - 25 points to go along with 5 rebs, 5 ast, 1.5 stls, and about a half a block per game given the minutes and shot attemps, in his prime of course.)

Of course you can't argue with the results that came with the titles in 2005 and 2007. Oh and lol at Michael Jordan averaging 37 mpg for 82 games when he was 40 years old.
