Wow I really need to do the math if Angels win this game.
Chawaman

If rangers win tonight, i believe the rangers would have to be swept by the A's and angels will have to sweep the mariners. Lol good luck with King felix against CJ wilson.
Chris
09-30-2012, 08:00 PM
I predicted the Angels to miss the playoffs. Hoping you guys make the playoffs so we can sweep you is not "changing my prediction". It's inadvertently rooting for the future success of my team.

Will the Angels brass make a desperate offseason move this year if they miss the playoffs?
Chris
09-30-2012, 08:10 PM
I could see them trying to get rid of Dan Haren and/or Ervin Santana
Spursfan092120
09-30-2012, 08:18 PM
Angels might be all out of desperate offseason moves to try to win.
Chawaman

I could see the angels trying to trade trumbo. He seems more likely to bring something of value. Somewhere around cj wilson value lololololol.
Chawaman
09-30-2012, 08:26 PM
Tbqh, i cant wait till astros are in our division next year so we can probably face them as the last series in the season rather than angels or athletics for years to come.
Chris
09-30-2012, 08:30 PM
Torrii Hunter is certainly upping his value - dude is like 7 for 9 on the day or something and is the reason the Angels won this afternoon.

09-30-2012, 08:40 PM
Seriously, with a high pitch count, two runners on base, hollands confidence low, and proof of angels able to make a run at late, wash leaves holland in? we have ross uehera ogando and feldman ready

This could arguably be the real "last game" of the season.
Spursfan092120

No, idiot...we don't have a team in SA. We want to cheer for a Texas team. We have two options...we chose the Rangers. Been a Rangers fan my whole life..STFU

I'm just trying to figure out how it's humanly and mathematically possible for the Phillies to make the playoffs this year.

10-02-2012, 11:24 PM
To the Heat dick licker, it's the Wild Card game which is a playoff game. Stats from that game do not count for the regular season. Learn how to do math, bitch. Thank you.
Like I said before, if you are a Mavs' fan, you do not celebrate until it's over and your team is holding up the trophy and wearing the championship hats. Maybe it's better for the Rangers to go quietly off into the sunset this year. The Rangers have no one blame but themselves. They should have beaten the A's and Angel's one or two more times earlier in the season and this shit wouldn't be happening. You have to beat the teams in your division.

Spursfan092120
10-03-2012, 12:05 AM
tbh Jacob, you don't have to be a Mavs fan. If you're a Rangers fan it's the same situation. Let's not forget Game 6 of the World Series last year. It's not over till we get the W...I'm just confident that tomorrow Dempster is going to have a good outing, and we get the AL West.
Jacob1983
10-03-2012, 12:08 AM
Because of what happened in game 6 of the WS last year, I have barely any confidence in this team unless they have at least a 10 run lead. Even in game 6 of the ALCS last year against the Tigers, I was still worried until the final out was recorded.

I've been hearing that a lot over the past year. Starting to buy into it, even though I don't like it. But it makes sense how they adopt that thinking. They have been to the past 2 WS. This game bothered me in so many ways...
Once things go wrong, the hitters seemed like they were just swinging for the fences the entire rest of the game.
Josh drops the pop-fly, and instead of hurrying to the ball, he stands there for a second, then halfheartedly jogs to it and makes Murphy completely sprint to it to try to save a run.
Andrus dives and misses a ball up the middle and is just laughing about it.
Ogando seemed completely disinterested. Michael Young seemed completely disinterested. Cruz seemed completely disinterested.
Things start going worse, and completely ridiculous errors and misplays happen, with Cruz in the outfield then Kinsler with completely halfhearted body language the entire rest of the game, eventually screwing up a routine double play with a lazy toss to Andrus. And then they again are back to laughing and joking 10 seconds later.
Beltre is the only one who showed up to play today, and Napoli at least seemed to give a crap about the game, as he seemed visibly agitated with Hamilton's error, as well as the other errors. Soto sucks, but even he seemed really irritated by how the game was going, while guys like Josh, Ian, Andrus, Young, and Cruz don't even seem to care. Josh was getting yelled at by Wash in the dugout, and he just walked away and rolled his eyes.
There is some serious issues with this team, outside of how piss poor their play on the field has been. If they played hard and simply got outplayed, that's cool. But the fact that they didn't seem to care much all game, and then gave up once the A's tied it at 5-5, made this IMO the most pathetic game I've ever seen from this Rangers core.

They ran into a buzzsaw. The A's have been playing out of their minds the last 3 months, and you've probably never heard of 90% of them. They are well managed, their pitchers play hard, and their hitters are extremely disciplined. (except for Coco Crisp :lol)
I don't believe the Rangers were tanking, there's no reason for that.

stretch, I didnt understand all the joking and laughing too. That error by Kinsler on the toss was a fucking poor excuse at an attempt at the double play....

And what's this I heard that Hamilton was laughing at Wash when he was getting an ass chewing? Didn't watch the game.

Dumpster is so overrated
Rangers fans got spoiled with the back to back world series appearance.
I'm reading this thread and most of you are crying like its the end of the world. lol
There are far worst teams right now in baseball that would probably give anything to just be relevant. So just suck it up liek the rest of us.

The writing was on the wall for this rangers core once game 6 of the 2011 World Series ended. They were never going to recover from that, and those demons really came out to prove it this last week. The icing on the cake will be that one game playoff.

As big of a moron as this faggot is, this probably is the absolute truth. The only one with the nuts to put that aside and move on seems to be Beltre. Unfortunately he can't do it all himself.

Well we'll see what Darvish is made of Friday night. Let's see if he was worth the money. At his introduction press conference he said he wouldnt have lost in Game 6 or 7 (can't remember) of the World Series last year if he were pitching...

At least the Rangers can't pull a 2007 Mavs, lol. At the same time, the Mavs own a Larry O'Brien trophy so maybe the joke is on the Rangers.

Rangers big dawgs have a lot to do this winter meeting. I have to give it to yu. He did well. Got to runs only. It's our offense that didn't come big. Can't blame them since the offense was what won the games. We need some added solid pitching staff. We won't have feliz or Lewis for spring training.

<-- Not a Rangers fan, didnt even watch them much if at all this year.
I watched the final game against the A's on MLB network and then the WC game against the Orioles. 2 games, super-small sample size...
Have to agree. I am surprised more players arent concerned with the "optics" associated with their play. Hamilton didnt "look" like he gave a flying shit about this season or franchise. He "looked" like he was fully aware he is going to sign a HUGE deal in a couple months and it wasnt going to be with the Rangers.

Yeah..just saw they're going to let him play the market before even offering. Not sure if that means they're ready to match, or if they don't care if he just leaves. Either way, I'm at the point where I could care less. He was my favorite player on that team last year and the beginning of this year. But the way he just seemed to give up at the end of the year completely turned me off of him.

The way they are making it seem, is as if they are going to treat it like CJ Wilson last year. Which is smart, they wont overpay. They will let other teams overbid for him and offer their own price and if he leaves he leaves, if he stays, we have him at the price we wanted. Wondering if we trade for Arizonas CF. Either way, just like 092120, I was a big fan of hamilton. Im more upset at him than pissed. I want the pitching staff bolstered though. We need another ace on this staff.
