Ok timvp and other stat hounds.
You've posted the goods on Bonnys incredible reg season + -
Including todays team leading +18 despite playing 12 minutes, shooting 0-4 (0-3 treys) and having two rebounds fall on him all while playing standard Bonner D.

Reality
What is Bonners + - in the playoffs?

Sounds like you're trying to make some point, and make them do the work. Don't be such a lazy fuck.

The key to life is to be able to answer the questions that randomly pop up in your head, tbh.

I'm surprised no one has posted the answer yet.

Last season, Matt Bonner had a +/- of -12 in the playoffs. But considering Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, George Hill, and Gary Neal all had a worse +/- rating, that's not really saying much. In fact, only four players had a positive net +/- in that series, and of those four, only one played significant minutes.

Depends on manu-bonner PNR results. And his shooting of course

Of course his +/- is going to be bad. We lost 4 straight games in that series. Why would any stat look good? Good grief Charlie Brown!!!

He led the Spurs in Win Shares / 48 minutes in last year's playoffs.

Are +/- and win shares related? Because if I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere that Kahwi Leonard's win shares per 48 minutes are comparable to that of LeBron's, even though his +/- is among the worst on the team.

Bonner is a hero apparently - man on man defense he holds opponents to under 26% FGM (from the post here the other day), and spreads the floor well according to Pop's tactics.

In the playoffs he will be the Spur's clutch player - just look at his awesome stats !

I haven't looked into it with any depth, but just from looking at each every now and then, yes, they seem to be highly correlated. As opposed to, say, PER. I'm referring to adjusted +/-, not regular, not sure how different that is for Kawhi.

Yes, Matt Bonner has had a negative +/- for every Spurs postseason he has participated in

10/11 -12 in 122:31
09/10 -27 in 173:22
08/09 -26 in 99:37
07/08 -3 in 8:57

Yes, the king of +/- fails in the playoffs. This is a known to anyone, stat hound or game watcher, who's been paying the slightest bit of attention.

I haven't seen a good reason to replace :pop: yet.

No one calling for a replacement has yet to propose a better candidate. The fact we are in 1st place in the West, and look like a decent shot in the PO's testifies to :pop: 's skill.

Yes, he has blind spots (Bonner, Finley, Bogans, not resigning Bowen, sometimes small ball). I have yet to hear of a major manager in ANY sport who doesn't have a few.

Bonner's on/off court was much improved in 2011 playoffs, it was better than TD's and TP's
