Bruno in an another thread pointed to how in the last month or so, the Spurs had rested its players far better than any other playoff contending team.
Here is an assessment of the minute spreading/resting business that the Spurs have come to perfect -
Spread of minutes per game among players in all teams (Data till 22nd April), sorted by lowest number of players playing most minutes (above 30) asc-

The takeaway is that the Spurs have played only one player above 30 minutes per game - in Tony Parker and have spread minutes across a number of players. It is also the playoff bound team with the lowest average minutes played by each player and second in the list for starters with the lowest average minutes played.
The last table for starters is most important. It shows how much the best players (who mostly start) are utilised by most teams. Memphis for example spreads its minutes pretty well, but starters still get to play a lot of minutes. Only Philadelphia's starters play less per game as compared to the Spurs..and it is amazing that the Spurs are tied for No 1 in the league with such minute distribution.
Kudos to Popovich and his coaching staff for achieving this much success in the regular season and for trying to keep his players fresh at the same time.
