Auburn 8-4
Would be better if QB wasn't a glaring concern. Questions loom with 2 new coordinators and the departure of Michael Dyer, but RB's grow on trees down on the plains, so I'm not too worried about that
Next year will be AU's year, although the schedule sure does favor them this year with only 4 away games
Chizik is killing it in recruiting, especially on the defensive side. Hopefully it will be a long damn time before I see AU giving up 400 a game like they did last year
I got LSU in the west and UGA in the East -----> LSU to win both the SEC and the natty
Bama has an incredible team, I just think it's too hard to repeat. Probably the only reason i'm not picking them. Oh, plus the fact that I hate them and hope they all die :lol

I'd love to see that as well. I know the Trojan offense should be stellar, but how good is the D?
Mizzou probably has a puncher's chance in the weaker SEC East, although Tennessee should be much improved, thereby improving the division as a whole (Vanderbilt is also continuing to get better, especially recruiting)
A&M has a much tougher road in the west, although I definitely expect them to be competitive, especially at home.
They definitely both belong in the SEC. Neither will be an embarrassment, and both will improve as time goes on, imo

USC's linebacker corps with Haynes Pullard and the Secondary with T.J McDonald and Nickell Robey will be good. It's the DL that will be the weakest point for this team because they are young and unproven and with the injury to Devon Kennard, this may be the one thing that costs them in a game--no pass rush/stopping the run.
How is Arkansas' D? That offense will be explosive if Nile Davis is back to 2010 form.

A thin/young/inexperienced DL is going to kill you against LSU/BAMA, who have two of the biggest, nastiest, and most talented O-lines in the country. They also have the backs to repeatedly pound you and against Bama you would still have to worry about the pass...LSU, not so much. Time of possession would be a huge factor in a potential matchup between SC and Bama/LSU. Also, the head coaching matchup is going to be wayyyyyyyyy in favor of whichever team ends up matched up with the Trojans. Whereas Pete Carroll inspired fear in SEC teams, Lane Kiffin will draw snickers instead
It would be an intriguing offense vs defense matchup to say the least, and in the past, USC was the one team that could own the SEC. So who knows?
Arkansas will mos def have a tremendous offense, but losing Petrino is huge and I think their defense, while solid in most areas, will just not be good enough for them to challenge for the west. (They would probably win the East going away if they were over there)
My other concern with the Razorbacks is recruiting. Not sure that Smith will be able to bring in the kind of talent, at least offensively, that Petrino did.
They're definitely better than Auburn, but significantly below the level of LSU or Bama, mainly due to the imbalance on defense.
I'm sure Brutalis can tell you more

Well, firstly the DL has to hold up against the likes of Oregon and whatnot before we can really get to see that in action. I would definitely give the nod to Saban in regards to having an advantage of coaching prowess. I have to wonder, though, about Les Miles and how he poorly handled the the QB situation in the BCS title game and whether he has the moxie or is it a question of other elements in regards to his planning.
While I'm not totally sold on Kiffin, he could very well be better than anyone gives him credit for. I don't know. This will be the season that either makes me a believer or one that I will begin to doubt him a little in the ways of coaching.
Does Lattimore return to form? He is a superb back and it'll be a shame if he doesn't return to somewhat form.

Yes, he's as good as it gets at that position in college football, but the oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooole' ball coach will pound him up the middle over and over and over because he's got shit at the QB position and no other way to win. I expect Latt to be worn down by the time he gets to the NFL, significantly shortening his career and lowering his ceiling because the visor handed it to him 30 times a game (plus 5 or so dump-offs). He shoulda went to Auburn (which he almost did) and shared carries with a bunch of other backs :lol
The Cocks will have another very good defense, though

La Tech is the scary OOC game but I think A&M will be ready for them. Sumlin is well aware of what they bring to the table seeing that he played them last year at Houston.
As far as conference games go I think A&M will beat Ole Miss and Mizzou and I think they will win one of the Florida, Arkansas and Mississippi State games. I really think A&M can beat Arkansas this year at home in a shootout. That type of game and offensive battle could definitely benefit Sumlin and Co.

Depends who you ask, but it seems either the Cocks or the Dawgs are being picked to win the East
Florida is the 3rd best team in the East, imo, and has tremendous questions on offense. They were abysmal last year. Muschamp won't get fired after this season, even if he only wins 7 games or so, but if he doesn't deliver by his 3rd year the he'll be gone in a big hurry. It's not like Meyer left the cupboard bare
I addressed Auburn up above, and the only thing I'll add to that is that the defense will be better this year and a favorable schedule should allow them to at least match their record from last year.
2013-14 looks to be when Chizik's excellent recruiting will start to pay off, and the team will be back to 3 deep up and down the depth chart after Tuberville let the reigns go in his final few seasons.

Dooley has to be on the toastiest seat. This is his most talented team and even though the Vols have been an SEC afterthought for quite some time, there is great tradition there and the fans/alumni still expect to be in the top-tier of the league. He wins anything less than eight games and he's outtie 5000. That loss to UK last year was a colossal embarrassment

Back to Mark Richt, Todd Grantham and that defense saved his job last season. mike Bobo may cost him his job this season. UGA was beating MSU badly in the bowl game last season anad bobo started calling a very conservative game. They lostin triple overtime. With Crowell gone and only unproven rbs they'll have to lean on Aron Murray.
I'm worried the defense will keep us in every game but bobo may lose one or two. They should be favored in every game besides SC. With the schedule they have, not to get back to Atlanta would be ahuge disappointment.

Oh, and what are your (romad) thoughts on UF and UT???
I think UF's only hope is if UGA and SC both have 2 losses and they can somehow pull one of those 3-way tiebreakers out by beating one of those two. I don't think they can beat both. Their schedule isn't bad though. Their d will be better year two under Muschamp, but that offense still is eh. I don't even know if their fanbase will give him another year if their not at least in the East conversation at the end of the year.
UT's only chance is if something crazy happens. They would have to win 2 or 3 of these games: Florida, SC, Bama, UGA and Mizzou. Not to mention they would have to run the table on UK, Vandy (rival and on the upswing although Franklin is a douche) Miss St. All doable but I don't trust them.
What's the deal with Auburn? Are they going to respond to two new coordinators? Brian Van Gorder is a shitty NFL coordinator, but a f-ing elite college level coach. His Georgia teams were awesome. They went 42-10 with him as d-coordinator and they gave maybe 15 points ppg during that strech. I think they gave up 30 points only once.

I like Van Gorder as the pick for D-coord, he's a proven commodity, but I'm not so sure about Loeffler. I suppose his claim to fame is being a QB coach for UF when Teabag was there, not exactly a fact that gets me excited. Teabag's mechanics were/are shit, so I'm not real sure how he coached him up other than to say, "put your head down and run straight". After that he went to Temple and coached a statistically impressive offense (in the MAC, lol) to their first bowl victory since 79'. So basically he has 1 year as an OC and a bunch of years coaching QB's (He was a grad assistant QB coach in Brady's final year at Michigan, and also coached Brian Griese, Chad Henne, Drew Henson and John Navarre).
Basically, I don't know. He has kept some of Malzahn's schemes while at the same time implementing many of his own styles. There will be elements of a pro-style, west-coast passing attack coupled with pistol, shotgun, spread, etc. I suppose I expect to see a lot of different formations, which isn't necessarily a good thing, imo. The skill personnel are geared towards the spread, so I'm not sure a pro-style attack is the best option, especially considering the lack of depth at running back. I'm also worried that he may try to get too fancy and implement too much, overloading the players and causing the offense to be uncertain and sluggish (like the offense was under Tony Franklin)
I've learned not to jump to conclusions with new coaches after crying about Chizik loudly upon his hiring. CGC has been very good thus far at putting his staff together, so he gets the benefit of the doubt for this hire.
Auburn's early schedule is fucking tough, so we'll all know by 6 games in or so if he's good or if he's going to struggle. The passing game must improve if the Tigers are to have any hope beating Bama/LSU/Ark/UGA

SEC-Wide drug policy a good idea in wake of Mathieu ordeal?
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - If Tyrann Mathieu played at Auburn, there would be no guessing game. He wouldn't play at Auburn again.
If the 2011 Heisman finalist failed a drug test in 2012 for the third time in his college career -- as it has been reported he did at LSU -- the door wouldn't even be ajar for his possible return to the field in 2013.
That door would be closed, locked and boarded up.
Why?
Auburn's drug policy is stricter than LSU's.
How is that possible?
The SEC leaves drug poliLuck_The_Fakers_cies up to its individual members, from the freLuck_The_Fakers_quency of testing to the seLuck_The_Fakers_verity of punishment.
Does that make sense?
Not in the least. It's about time the conference's 14 members put their heads together to come up with a uniform drug policy for the entire league.
Mathieu's suspension for the entire 2012 season is the perfect time to re-open a debate that's been disLuck_The_Fakers_cussed behind the scenes from time to time but hasn't been a front-burner issue of late. Right now, the playing field is far from level when it comes to getting players that have failed drug tests back on the field.
The 2011 national defensive player of the year was the most high-profile player in the nation's most high-profile league, but instead of getting ready for next Saturday's opener against North Texas in Baton Rouge, he's dealing with his personal issues at a rehab clinic in Houston.
Since LSU announced his suspension 12 days ago, there's been a great deal of debate about whether the school's drug policy would allow him to come back and play for the Tigers in 2013.
LSU's policy is similar to others in the SEC that were provided to The Birmingham News or were available on athletic department websites. Test positive the first time, and there's treatment but no loss of playing time.
Test positive a second time, and there's a suspension for up to 15 percent of the season. Mathieu was suspended for one game in 2011 against Auburn because, ESPN.com reported, he'd failed a drug test for synthetic marijuana.
Test positive a third time, LSU's policy says, and there's a one-year suspension from competition.
Auburn's policy, which the school provided to The News, is less forgiving. It hits student-athletes with longer suspensions more quickly, depending on the banned substance involved.
Test positive the first time for traditional or synthetic marijuana, and there's counseling but no loss of playing time. Test positive the first time for another banned substance, and you're suspended for 50 percent of your season.
If your first and second positive tests are for either kind of marijuana, the second positive test triggers a suspension for 50 percent of your season. A third positive test in that category, and you lose your privilege to play at Auburn permanently.
You don't get a third strike if either of your first two positive tests are for a banned substance other than marijuana. In that case, strike two and you're out. Permanently.
"On the testing side, I'm 100 percent satisfied with what we're doing," Auburn AD Jay Jacobs told me Tuesday on 97.3 The Zone.
"We don't have a lot that show up (positive) the second time."
Or the first time. Jacobs said that Auburn conducts about 1,300 drug tests a year on its student-athletes. Less than 1 percent of the tests come back positive, he said, and some of those are for prescription drugs pre-approved by the school's medical staff.
Tougher sanctions for failing more than one test would seem to be a stronger deterrent. They would appear to be in the best interest of helping a student-athlete change his behavior after the first failed test.
Drug policies aren't about competition. They're about a mix of compassion and discipline. Wouldn't it be nice to see the SEC's schools pool their data and come up with the best possible program to deal with an issue that every one of them faces?
That way, they could level the playing field while doing everything possible to set their players straight.http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/08/auburns_tougher_drug_policy_wo.html

SEC-Wide drug policy a good idea in wake of Mathieu ordeal?
Most people who live in Louisiana need to use drugs just to cope with being in that craphole.
I still can't figure out why they drug test for weed anywhere in sports. Test for performance enhancing drugs only. It's pretty obvious that he had zero trouble performing while smoking a little weed.

Both teams run a pass happy attack. Fortunately, If the rain and wind is bad, A&M definitely has a great advantage when it comes to the running game. La Tech's O-Line is very experienced but it still doesn't match up to ours and we have some great running backs to give the ball to. Turnovers will be key if the conditions are bad.

I'm pleased with the effort Auburn put out there tonight. Didn't expect them to win, much less be in the game at the end, so I'll take it. Lol the 4th best team in the SEC west taking the veteran, defending ACC champs to the wire
Really liked the scheme on defense, but giving up 500+ is still not good enough. Lot's of credit to Clemson's Boyd for keeping plays alive time after time. Auburn is going to have to learn how to wrap up. So many missed tackles...Don't even wanna see the RAC yardage. D-line is also going to have to get better, obviously. Missed tackles or no, you can't give up 200+ on the ground and win
Kiehl Frazier showed some flashes of what he can do, but his decision making was suspect and he still doesn't handle pressure well when the pocket is collapsing. He's also got to learn when to throw it away and when to run. He's a true soph, so I think those things will come eventually. Tre Mason looked like a stud running the football, but his one fumble was huge. Was so awesome to see a fullback clearing holes for Auburn runners again. Prosch is a beast. O-line played pretty well for such a young group, especially since it was their first game. Once the Tigers get their center back it should improve even more.
Can't complain too much, really. A young squad doing what young squads do. Not converting in the redzone, not getting their feet inbounds, missing assignments and reads... The usual. But they found a way to hang around against a team that should go head to head with FSU for the ACC title. Great way to open up and test themselves on a neutral field instead of beating a patsy at home. Should definitely help them as the season wears on. Pretty sure they got out of there without any bad injuries too
Looks like aggy will get their first SECSECSEC win in forever.

UGA didn't impress me this weekend. Actually, the players did impress me, Mike Bobo however, did not. Gurley with 100 yards rushing 2 TD's and 100 yard return KR for TD is great for a true freshmen. Now to Mike "Bozo" Bobo, if I have to see 1st and bomb down the field 20 times a game while you have two stud freshmen running backs chomping at the bit ready to destroy an undersized D line, my head's going to explode. Which is better 2nd and 4 or 2nd and 10?
I thought the defense did well in the second half, considering half the team is suspended. I hope to god we get Rambo (awesome, I know) and Olgetree back this week for Mizzou. If not, we might see the two new comers to the SEC both get victories next week.
The best thing I took from the UGA game was no turnovers and hardly any penalties. That's great for a team that does both, a lot.
As for Bama, they did exactly what a good team should do. Play to it's strengths, run the ball effectively to set up play action and play solid defense. I didn't see them throwing the ball 5 times in a row when they know they can run. I hope UGA learns this lesson this week. My mind tells me if Bobo hasn't learned it in 5 years it won't happen this week.
I was hoping for an Auburn win, but they did have a very good showing against a strong Clemson offense. I like they way the D played much better than the crappy D they played last year, and their offense looked much more settled and consistent than the spread they were running.
All in all, SEC played well this weekend and I'm ready to see these teams full strength with a couple of games under their belts. It's hard to remind yourself these are kids out there and they are going to make mistakes.

I feel for you, Symple. That was just an awful showing yesterday by Auburn. I'm not sure what Chizik did with the talent that Auburn usually puts on the field but they looked lost. Miss St offensive game looked good. I never thought I would say that.
Bama and LSU played cupcakes, but looked good. The Michigan win doesn't look quite as impressive with them barely being able to beat AF today. The Big 10 shit the bed overall. Ohio St and Mich St are the only two teams worth anything in that conference this year.
Arkansas :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lmao:lmao:lmao:rollin:rollin :rollin That teams deserve anything they get after hiring that p.o.s. that fucked them over just like he fucked my beloved Falcons.
The two best games of the day were the newbies getting their first taste of the SEC. A&M's QB looks like he's going to be a force for them. I think that RB they have may have some success too. The only caveat to that is, they are both going to be beaten to a pulp if they don't learn when to go down. They both pretty undersized to stay healthy long taking big hits.
Florida's defense won the game, which is where I thought they needed to have success to win. Their line woke up in the second half and they played like the Florida teams I'm used to seeing. Big props to Gillislee. Dude played with some ridiculous heart and made a great run while injured.
Now to UGA and Mizzou. First half was hard to watch. Both teams looked and played really bad, but at some point in the second quarter the real teams emerged. I really don't think Mizzou would have scored more than 6 points if UGA had all of its defensive players back. Once Jarvis Jones gets his runnin' buddies back, this defense is going to be scary, scary good. JJ is the best LB in the country and he is probably going to rewrite all of the UGA sack and tackle for loss records this year.
I was please with the effort in the second half and the way the defense bowed up with all the 2nd and 3rd stringers getting time. Murray has to not make mistakes (how many times has this been said). Good thing is they should have everyone back for SC and should be going into that game undefeated. If that's the case and there are no injuries, I don't see them losing to anyone on their schedule the rest of the way.
I'm starting to believe in this team and can't wait for the defense to be at full strength!

Good game for the Aggies yesterday.
Problem with A&M and Mizzou isn't with their starters but their depth. We all saw some very physical play in those two games yesterday, and the Aggies were really popping Florida in the mouth, but Florida continues to counter punch, as will the rest in the SEC. It's going to be a war of attrition on those two squads this year. We're really going to have to revisit both teams at the end of the year and see how those rosters held up to truly see how far they have to go.

What's everyone's thoughts on this Old Miss UT game. I really didn't even know this was happening until yesterday. I haven't watched a UT game since last year and have no idea what's going on with that squad.
Also, thoughts on the Tenn/ Fla game? I think Tenn gets them this week.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen either team play yet (Tenn/UF)... So I couldn't tell you. Guess I did see a bit of UF's first game, but not really enough to make a call. It's kinda like choosing sides in a fight between two fat kids you both hate

High and mighty? Have you ever been to Oregon? Probably the best smoke out there of any state (tied with Cali probably...). It is undoubtedly hard to stay clean if you're playing for UO. At least they're being proactive as this is a situation that has plagued many a major program and it should be something looked into. I think the Honey Badger situation is making teams look harder on maintaining a sense of control over the players that is needed because college is such a partying time.

Well, the lower half of the SEC looked like crap yesterday. This looks like a 4 team race for the SEC, Bama, LSU, UGA and USC, maybe Florida.
I'm really surprised at how far Auburn has fallen. I don't get it, is Chizik that bad? They are beyond lucky with that hail mary before the half yesterday.
Florida made some good adjustments at halftime to put it on Tenn. Dooley is something like 4-17 in SEC play now, which means he's about to be done.
USC has some issues with injury at the QB position. Couldn't gather much more from that game yesterday.
Same with UGA. The offense looked unstoppable but it was FAU. Props to the two new freshmen runners, Gurley and Marshal. The defense was awful in the first half, but Jarvis Jones was held out of the game as a precaution with his groin strain and they played a ton of backups from the start. I guess they were trying to develop depth. I'm still waiting to see this defense at full strength, and that's two weeks away still.
LSU started super slow but got it together and blew out Idaho. Not much else to say about that.
Bama mopped the floor with a undermanned and poorly coach Arkansas team. I don't think I've ever seen a team fold and give up so much in an SEC game. Oh well, they deserve it for hiring that fuck Booby Petrino.
Ole Miss's offense actually looked ok. I'm not sure if that was UT's secondary or Ole Miss's players. They took it on the chin from a much more talented Texas team. Maybe Ole Miss should look into playing defense from now on.
UK. I don't know what to say, start over maybe.
Mizzou looked ok, but they need Franklin back to have any chance at USC next weekend.
Miss St beat Troy. I'm not going to lie, I didn't even watch a highlight.
A&M and Vandy did what they were supposed to do and beat down weaker competition.
I don't know if there will be an undefeated SEC team this year. The good thing is I don't know if there will be any other undefeated teams this year, maybe FSU. I think the field is wide open this year and there should be some serious drama at the end of the season.

Yeah, Auburn isn't playing well, and you have to point at the coaching staff. There's plenty of talent there, it's just not being coached up/utilized properly
At this point, I think they need to just stick with Frazier and let him take his lumps. Hopefully he'll learn from this awful year and become a better player. The offensive line isn't bad and has one of the best positional coaches in the country. Otherwise, the rest of the team is a question mark and there may need to be changes at other positions in terms of coaching.
And of course the buck stops with Chizik. This team has no identity and doesn't play with intensity. They're mistake prone and don't play like a cohesive unit on offense. Fundamentals are weak (tackling), NFL caliber weapons are underutilized (Blake & Lutz), and it's just a general mess.
I'm not advocating Cheezit getting fired...yet. But if there's not marked improvement as the season goes on, I think that may be something the University should consider

I watched Florida/Tennessee and OM play.
OM has some impressive weapons on offense. Moncrief and Wallace should develop into very good players and they have some decent RB's. Problem is in the trenches, where their lines were completely outclassed by UT
Florida continues to improve. Driskel finally looks like he may live up to the hype. As he goes, Fla will go. With a stout defense and Muschamp starting to look like a guy who can make good decisions/adjustments in-game, this team could be scary in the East.
Tennessee is obviously better, but still 4th best in the East. Dooley is done unless he beats Alabama or UGA, which just ain't gonna happen
Although Arkansas is indeed a farce, Bama is that damn good. Sometimes it's harder to show up with the same intensity week in and week out and the Tide have done exactly that. Whoever comes out of that LSU/Bama tilt undefeated won't lose and will roll into the NC game, imo

Good to see Florida improve and quite possibly be back to being that fearsome member from the SEC East that will challenge Alabama and LSU for SEC supremacy. This is a rivalry game, and one in which some of the craziest games in the last 25 years have been played.
The game where LSU beat #1 Auburn and the crowd was so loud it registered on the Richter scale (88')
The game in 94' where LSU's QB threw five 4th quarter interceptions, 3 of which were returned for TD's
96' where the Barn (the old Auburn Sports arena) burned to the ground during the game. The flames were so high you could see them behind the stadium during the telecast
01' when the game was moved to the end of the season because of 9/11. Whoever won got the West and it was one of the most physical games I've ever seen. Stupid Auburn players stomped on the LSU logo at midfield and Auburn's punter started warming up before the LSU band got off the field
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auburn%E2%80%93LSU_football_rivalry
All that being said, I'll be surprised if LSU doesn't win by 3 touchdowns :lol
Would I take the points if I were a betting man? No... Take LSU and give the points. Although, you never know with college football and that's why I don't wager on it

Nick Saban is using his off time well by whining like a little bitch
"I think that the way people are going no-huddle right now, that at some point in time, we should look at how fast we allow the game to go in terms of player safety," Saban said Wednesday on the SEC teleconference. "The team gets in the same formation group. You can't substitute defensive players. You go on a 14-, 16- or 18-play drive and they're snapping the ball as fast as you can go, and you look out there and all your players are walking around and can't even get lined up. That's when guys have a much greater chance of getting hurt ... when they're not ready to play. I think that's something that can be looked at. It's obviously created a tremendous advantage for the offense when teams are scoring 70 points and we're averaging 49.5 points a game. More and more people are going to do it.
"I just think there's got to be some sense of fairness in terms of asking: Is this what we want football to be?"

As whiny as Saban is being here, he does have a point that hasn't been brought up in this era of player safety. I mean if you can't substitute someone in and whatnot, then yes you run the risk of your player being fatigue and thus prone to getting injured. But this is most certainly a case of the have complaining about the little things. I'm guessing this is merely just one of those, "Let's throw it out there and see if garners media attention..." i think players being ridiculously bigger faster and stronger than they were even ten years ago has a lot more to do with injury frequency than no huddling and less frequent opportunities to sub, along with the lack of evolving safety equipment to go along with it. Just my opinion though.

This
I will add that those offenses are operating under the rules of the game, so the onus is on the defensive coaches to have a plan of attack in order to counter it... Substitution packages and quick signals, etc.

Seems like Auburn's QBs are used to the spread instead of the current offense they're running now.
Mosely isn't that good either. Just missed an easy touchdown. Loser.

Frazier should have followed Malzahn to Arkansas St. He sucks too much to run a conventional offense against SEC/BCS defenses.
Why does Auburn's fight song sound similar to Georgia's?

It doesn't

However, Auburn does play a version of "Glory Glory" which is what UGA based it's fight song on

These kids don't care. They're getting arrested left and right. The head coach has no control and can't motivate. They're regressing on offense.
It's apparent that the only thing this staff can do is recruit. It's incredible that Auburn has 3 of the top 10 defensive prospects committed in the nation.
But none of it matters if you can't coach them up. Loeffler was an historically bad hire at OC. Why on earth would you bring a pro-style guy in when the entire offense is built around the spread? Yet another failure by Cheezit.

Here's cheezit's post-game remarks...from AL.com
AUBURN, Alabama – Gene Chizik couldn't and didn't sugarcoat his team's loss to Arkansas on Saturday.
The Auburn coach apologized to fans after the Razorbacks beat his Tigers 24-7 in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn fell to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the SEC, its worst start in the league since 1998.
"The Auburn fans and the Auburn family, they did not deserve this today, and I apologize to anybody who came to the game to watch it." Chizik said.
"We understand where we're at. We've won one game. What I saw out there today was very disappointing versus the quality of our practice and the game. That's on us."
Also:
"It was a completely unacceptable offensive performance all the way around."
And:
"I didn't see the fans leave, but I don't blame them."
Arkansas came in with the worst defense in the SEC, but Auburn struggled the whole way. The Tigers were sacked eight times and had five turnovers.
"It was a completely unacceptable offensive performance," Chizik said.
Chizik said he was disappointed, especially since the Tigers had two weeks to prepare for the game.
"All around, it was a team loss. We're going to go back and work. We're going to try to figure out how to fix it," Chizik said.
Chizik said he changed quarterbacks – Clint Moseley for Kiehl Frazier at half – in an effort to find a spark. Offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler said the coaches would determine next week's starter later, perhaps Sunday.
"I'm not going to blame everything on the quarterback," Chizik said. "We're going to go back and re-evaluate a lot of things.

Man, what an embarrassing weekend for the Dawgs, well more for Mark Richt. I also had to take some time away. A loss is one thing, what happened on Sat is something else. Totally blown out, unprepared, looked flat. I don't know what the answer is at this point besides finding another coach. The talent is there, I can see it and I see the ones he's had play all over the NFL on Sundays.
The game-planning is awful and motivation looks like a large factor. Sad thing is SC could lose the next two games and UGA could beat Fl and still go back to the championship game, which would buy him another a year and we'd get the same exact results. The record against ranked teams since 2008 is awful.

I don't think it was too much of an overreaction. First road SEC win, sure Ole Miss sucks but it was awesome and rare to overcome a frustrating game with 6 turnovers.
And I love Sumlin.
