time fucking warner....so my FoxSportsSouthwest says Spurs, yet it broadcasts Mavericks games. I've had this problem for years. I called TW and they had no idea what is up. I'm guessing I fall under Mavericks territory even though I'm an hour north of Austin. I can't even pick up the Spurs on the League Pass free trial. can't seem to figure it out.
Obstructed_View

It's definitely frustrating to see them play so well when they want to, but then just stop paying attention. Really remeniscent of the 2003 team, which is a good sign. On the other hand, seeing Duncan move so well, and really working to get himself an opportunity to drive is a fucking revelation. It's like looking back in time. Losing that weight was the best thing he ever did.
I should probably stop watching the game. I tuned in at the start of that Pacer 11-0 run. :lol
Eh, I've said Larry Bird was overrated last season but the Leonard deal wasn't a bad trade for them. To land your starting point guard for a mid first round draft pick is a deal any team will take. It was a pretty huge risk for the Spurs but it was a safe move for the Pacers with very limited downside.
The Pacers could afford to pay Hill; the Spurs couldn't. The Spurs needed a quality wing; the Pacers didn't. Both Hill and Kawhi are more valuable (more worth it) to their current teams than they would be with the teams that traded them. That's how a trade can work out for both teams. If there's asymmetry, you get the Harden/Martin swap instead.
You're both right. It's more the context of the trade... if we evaluate it as George Hill for Kawhi Leonard, the Pacers got fleeced in one of the most one-sided deals in recent years (strictly for money / salary cap reasons). But if we evaluate it as George Hill for the 15th overall pick, it's much, much, much more reasonable.

I used to know how big the radius was for the areas. Seems like it was ~125 miles. If you can't get the Spurs on LP then that indicates you're in the Spurs territory, but getting the Mavs on FSSW indicates the opposite. Maybe you're in an area where they have a choice and just picked the Mavs.

this shit is frustrating. I think i'm in a dead zone, so the Program Guide always says Spurs, but it broadcasts Mavs games instead. therefore I won't get Spurs on LP since they'll think i'm already getting it (according to the Program Guide I should) yet it's always Mavs. i'm just gonna get the LP Broadband.

With as many great big man passers the Spurs have, I wonder why they don't run that same 1/5 PnR the Lakers do where they have Nash with the ball, Dwight as the screener and Pau on the high post. You would think the Spurs could execute that wonderfully. Have Tim set the screen, slip to the rim, pass to Boris who then gives the entry into Tim.
