With this shitty performance by everyone but the big 3, maybe it is the after effects of them playing to many minutes they aren't used to in Miami?

lol u could be right. I hate Pop sitting players. Just limit minutes instead.

Role players 1-for-15 from the field. Team 0-for-11 on threes. Spurs down by one point against the best team in the West so far this season?

I'll take it.

Watching the Spurs this game, my opinion is that Pop should have been fined even more money for sitting out players.

Spurs role players look like total shit tonight. Instead of losing one game, Spurs might lose two. Kawhi got overworked last season in that game against Portland and I think he picked up an injury in it didn't he?

Shit strategy IMO.

12-01-2012, 10:12 PM
Our starters are getting the floor greased with them this quarter, bench is going to have to step up to close the 3rd / start the 4th. They've done it a lot of times this season, let's hope tonight is another one of those stretches where they go on a double-digit run over that span.

That pick and pop is killing us. Hopefully we fix our PnR defense.

The Spurs just seem scared of the Grizz now... though we did beat them a bunch last year.

Z-Bo being out most of the year had a lot to do with that. Gasol/Randolph just spell trouble for the Spurs.

We're way out of sync, tired from the road, playing against a very good Grizzly team.

I'm not worried - if it was April I'd be worried. This is a good wake-up call to the team to remind them that we still have a long way to go to contend.

+1 Even though Mem played last nite, we are still missing our small forwards.

If Ginobili was still as good as Duncan/Parker, Spurs would be leading. The fact that he's regressed into role player status has really hurt the Spurs the past two years.

I'd buy that if Mem wasn't on the 2nd night of a b2b, and if we weren't coming off of a day's rest. This was just a game where our shots faltered (not short either, just off) and our defense failed to deliver.
