Most of them seem to realize their team's unclutch.

Hope Anderson starts next game. Nothing against Green but sometimes Pop has to give JA (another shooter in general) a chance when Green is off, instead of just shortening the rotation or going super small.

Good game guys.I just Want to say the Grizzlies are missing some players too so they are not at 100% like some of you are saying.

I bet they weren't saying shit about the refs in the 2011 playoffs. Especially the 4 fouls in less than 2 minutes bullshit to start the 4th in game 6 to handcuff the Spurs' defense to close out the game. Or the 12 free throws they got in the last 3 minutes of the same game.
If they don't wanna see the Grizzlies get called for fouls, they should start tweeting them and telling them to stop hacking, handchecking, and bumping people tbh.

Going small worked for us tonight. Neal, Patty and Parker were the guys who started that run in the fourth quarter.

gotta take em when they're wide open. which i'd say at least 80% were.

I thought this quote was kinda funny from NBA.com. It's part of the post game writeup:
San Antonio fans welcomed Popovich back with a thunderous ovation before the game. One fan behind the Grizzlies' bench held up a sign reading "Pop knows best." Others wore shirts with more colorful language directed toward Stern.

No, you don't have to take them when they're wide open, especially if they're not in the flow of the game. That's the thinking of the Spurs from two or three years ago who sucked on offense.

i only saw about 3 or 4 that were ill advised, TPs in the 4th and some Neal/Manu ones. everything else looked like shots the 2012 Spurs were taking and making last season.
29 is too high for my taste as well but i don't think the Grizz did a very good job of closing out.

I think Marc tinkled a few droplets in his shorts during that. He looked just a wee liiiittle bit skurd. ... While Timmy continues to stay in "Godzilla Mode," breathing fire all over the place and staring at Gasol like he wants to eat him alive. Classic. :lol

replace Manu after he leaves at the end of the season.

did the refs calls help the spurs, not question, but they lose their lead cause their plan of "let the spurs shoot 3s all night" backfired when they actually made them

If they're not good shots? Absolutely. I'd rather have a layup attempt every time.

How can an open 3 not be a good shot for a 40% shooter?

How can an open 3 not be a good shot for a 40% shooter?
Because no matter the percentage, it's still a shot from 25 feet out. A really good shooter, under the best of circumstances, getting three point shots in the rhythm of the game, hits them at 40 %. Any shooter under decent circumstances getting a layup hits at 90% and has a chance to draw a foul or set up a teammate for an open shot or a putback.

He traded Dennis Rodman, but it was for Will Perdon't. He wasn't coach then.

Another game where Marc Gasol gets hot then disappears/defers/not involved in the offense in the 4th quarter.
The Grizzlies played their usual horrible 3 point defense against the Spurs, but the Spurs did not make the Grizzlies pay for it until the fourth quarter.
Too many stupid turnovers.
Zach Randolph as well as alot of the Grizzlies couldn't make shots close to the basket.
Jerryd Bayless' shot at the end of regulation. http://i29.tinypic.com/2zipl5u.gif
As I said last season, a double digit lead is never safe when the Grizzlies have it.
Congrats to the Spurs.

Green and Neal didn't practice today according to Pop. Neal's achilles is apparently bothering him.
The Spurs perimeter players are dropping like flies.
