i think my hatred for this team is worse than Laker levels.
That's because the Lakers suck this season.
Not sure if this is live or a replay of the 2nd half of Game 6
This game just confirms that OKC gets even more home cooking than even the Lakers or Knicks

I have no idea how anybody can like this OKC team, tbh..
Ibaka, Westbrook and Perkins are too arrogant and cocky for players that haven't accomplished anything substantial..
Their team relies on officiating more than any team in my lifetime..
Their announcers are horrible..their fans are meth fiends and fuck their cousins..
Durant seems likable, but his game is ugly(due to officiating), as is his face..

Nine points on six shots. Six assists and the one late turnover. Numerous breakdowns of the Thunder's defense. Getting Westchuck to go into Westchuck mode by overplaying his right hand. Parker could have hit another shot to be 3-for-6 but other than that he's been pretty damn good.

Not a good stretch. OKC is trapping TP in addition to having Sefolosha on him. Technically TP should give it up but no one else is showing any capability of creating shots so he's forcing the issue. In retrospect, Pop should have put someone like NDC in so that he could get a second playmaker on the court.
This fools are going to be DIFFICULT to beat in their house in the playoffs. Thus, HCA is pretty damn vital.

I'd much rather have Kenyon Martin than Diaw. They both do nothing on offense, but a Martin gives more on defense.
Diaw passes up open three-pointer. Next possession throws up a no-look flip shot. :facepalm

It's like watching the old guys vs the young guys at the gym. OKC is just so much more active - and confident.
They have no doubt that they can beat the Spurs whenever they want.
The Spurs beat them earlier this year with a full squad.

When you're outscored every quarter there's something more going than bad officiating/home cooking.
They've got our number. Only hope to get past them in the PO is have someone else knock them out.
Tbh, I'd put down the razor blade considering the Spurs are missing two of their four most important players against OKC.

timvp is it really that simple for OKC to stop TP and shut him down? He has to know they will put Thabo on him - he saw it last year. Really nothing he can do to overcome that? Is it just too much for TP's talent level to overcome consistently?
Sure you can put other ball handlers on the floor, but this is the Spurs best offensive player - shouldn't he be able to overcome this somehow? I know Thabo is a very good defender, but is he that good?

like I said earlier in the game thread, I would not pay Diaw more than minimum salary. He's very lucky he got what he got from the Spurs in the offseason. He better not opt out because I doubt anyone would pay him more. He'd be lucky if he got more than the minimum IMO.
I'd trade him for Jordan Hill if the Lakers wanted him.

I don't think TP can consistently beat that defense. If it was just Thabo, yeah probably. But Thabo plus trapping with their looooooooong athletes makes it really, really hard. TP would have to be on fire shooting-wise to really have a chance.
The better option is that another option emerges that forces OKC to guard him at least straight up. Westbrook is a pretty bad defender so the best option is for the pressure release needs to be the other guard. Ginobili did it at times in the playoffs but not consistently enough (think Game 6).

this. my bitching has more to do with the cheap ass whistles that always go their way. i've never seen anything like it (well maybe not since Lakers during Kobe-Shaq era) but even they were champions. I know we'll get better and get key pieces back, but I don't see the officiating changing. Game 6 proved how brazen the refs can get with this shit.
