I kinda wonder what kinda idiocity to call an all star proven PG shooting 50% from the field and making 5 assists without turn over in the half, been HERO BALLING ??
Cry Havoc
01-03-2013, 08:40 PM
Then what other word describes holding the ball for 15+ seconds and then setting for an ill-conceived shot that misses badly?
Yes, as we ALL know it's ALWAYS the PG's fault when this happens. It's NEVER that there isn't enough off-ball movement, or the passing lanes don't open, or god forbid we're running a little clock instead of burning our starters up in the first. Yep. It's always a bad play despite the fact that Tony is one of the most efficient PGs in league history.

oh hey everyone I just heard of this cool basketball phrase "hero ball". If I KEEP using it, I mean just RELENTLESSLY, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, will I seem really, you know, knowledgeable?
Yeah I pretty much ignore anyone who seriously uses the term "hero ball." superjames1992 is notoriously ignorant about it.

Very lucky to be within 2. The problem is they won't have their legs in the 2nd half.
Pop needs to quit messing around and try De Colo for a while. The ball-handling when TP is out is atrocious.

I meant his usual playmaking, and by that I mean that I prefer Manu handling the ball than Parker because we all know that Manu's one of the best playmakers on the team. That's a fair comment, isn't it? I don't think I'm the only one that prefers Manu to be the playmaker.

He is, but he also turns the ball over a shit ton of times, which is why he shouldn't play point guard with the second unit and is why we need NANDO in there rather than Neal.

In the last 3 minutes? It's been very one-sided. I literally predicted that the refs would blow a whistle in favor of the Knicks every time they took it to the basket, and they did. And just now, they did it again.
Any time the Knicks don't take an open shot (last 4 non open shots), a whistle has been blown despite minimal brush contact on 2 and no contact on the other 2. Meanwhile the Spurs have to get hit twice for a whistle to be blown, and they don't call noticable bump fouls on shots (like Duncan's shot)

It was still more contact than the last 4 fouls against the Spurs. Ginobili swipes at the ball, foul. Splitter gets a clean block, foul. Melo jumps into Duncan, foul. Or earlier in the game, Melo practically hits the floor before touching Duncan, foul.

That's what gunners fucking do. They go out and shoot a 3 if they can reliably see the rim. It's why he's on the fucking team in the first place. Not to run point (he fell into that role). Not to make cute passes. To drill shots right in the face of the opponent. You don't put a Steve Novak on the court to make alley oops and play tough defense.
