Terrible news. Having lost a father to cancer, that is not an ordeal I would wish on anybody.

At least Jerry had a hell of a ride and leaves behind a legacy. Best wishes to the Buss family and all of their supporters.

End of an era for sure, beginning of an error. Hope he goes out pain-free at least. One of the best owners in any franchise ever I'd say.

Sucks to hear. Before Buss the LA Lakers only had 1972 to hang their hats on, but since they have been the league's premeire franchise. The Goodrich for Magic deal preceded him, but man, they made some great moves after he took over like trading for the pick that became Worthy and trading Nixon for Byronn Scott. Surely in that day and age he had a lot of input as to what the team did. Hope it's not his time yet, but he'll be missed by all NBA fans if it is.

Kobe probably knew this sad news weeks ago...and decided to go the extra mile at facilitating the offense and turning into a different player to help the team even further...he wants to send Buss out a winner....

Let's do it for Dr. Buss fellas...:toast I believe in you

as much as you hate the lakers you have to show some respect for jerry buss tbh. dude must have been sick for quite a while, disease allowed him no attention to pay to his team which's why the team went off the road
