Even though they live, work, and raise their families in the United States, they still see themselves as Mexicans above all else, unlike previous Mexican immigrant generations. After that, Mexicans (and the politicians who pander to that voting base), like African Americans, suddenly embraced victimhood and learned to use it as a powerful political tool.

Doing so, he will always remain disconnected from the mainstream and be resented by the native populace. Immigrants need to assimilate and willingly identify more with their new country than their old. A country that experiences a mass of immigrants who refuse to assimilate will always run the risk of fragmenting, with each specific race/culture living in isolation. This is why multiculturalism has precipitated the downfall of many empires. It's a fine ideal, but historically, it's never worked, because it ultimately weakens a country's unity.

No one is suggesting immigrants suppress all elements of their native culture. America has greatly benefited from immigrant influences in pretty much every cultural area you can think of. But where immigrants once desired to merge their native culture with the host, they now want to supplant the host culture with their own, or seclude themselves off.

Latinos in general are proud people. Youll see the same type of behavior from all of them, theres just alot more Mexicans than the rest of them. Go to South Beach and youll hear plenty of Spanish and see plenty of Cuban or Puerto Rican flags, even Brazilians. Argies pop up with flags for Spurs games, central Americans for soccer games, etc.

Dude, dont be gay. I dont get why you try so hard to fit in. I wasnt even saying you hate the USA or anything like that, all I was saying is that you still have love for Argentina (and Italy too I guess). Otherwise why dont you root for the USA in soccer instead? Theres nothing wrong with that though, Im not hating...I was just using you as an example that its possible to have love for two countries.
