we were down by that much and came back that quickly. guess what, it can happen to us just the same if we get too confident about it

Green's pull-up three was the second-best play of the half, in my opinion. If he can hit those consistently, his play-making ability will increase dramatically.

I haven't read the game thread yet, but I hope the meltdowns in the 1st quarter were mild, tbh..the Spurs are missing their best player and only consistent shot creator, huge loss, obviously..

Tiago has been our best player IMO
WTF is up with Manu's FT shooting this season? I almost trust Splitter to hit them more than Manu lately.
He is such a rhythm player and has had so many injuries this year that he is just still out of sync. He can come back and occasionally play brilliantly, but we all expect too much of him anymore because he used to play brilliantly all the time and can't really do it at that level consistently any more. He is still the most fun to watch though, although Leonard is quickly getting about ready to take that mantle away from him.

This game is a perfect example of how the Thunder miss Harden. If Harden had the ball instead of Westbrook in the last 5 minutes, the would score no question. He'll get to the line or hit shots.

If Diaw could shoot the 3, this offense would de devastating. He almost single handedly hurts this offense cause he gets so many open looks, and just holds the ball. The defender plays way off of him cause he's not a threat to score. I love Diaw's passing, but we need a stretch 4 badly.

not sure if mentioned but maybe Pop has a new defensive adjustment: when Splitter is out there, put him on one of the guards , seemed to work during that stretch in the 2nd quarter.
Hmm, we'll see but they had Fisher out there more often than I would've though, tbh. But what will the offensive adjustment be when Sefolosha bitch slaps TP again should the teams meet in the playoffs?

He can barely dribble a ball..if a defense focuses on him, which will be the case in the playoffs, his only production will be generated from open 3s, as usual, which isn't necessarily a bad thing..

Hopefully, we will see Leonard take over the scoring. We didn't have that last year and we can hope that it can be a difference maker this year. Because you can count on Sefalosha on Parker.

He's a little better at dribbling than he used to be, though it's obviously not a strength. But if he has a pull-up three in his game, then he's a threat to score when he's moving, which would force the defender to play close to him as soon as he catches the ball (not just when he's set), which will open up a lane for him to drive. Even with his lack of handles, getting a defender out of position should allow him to drive and kick more easily.

Since you're implying that his injury is a factor, the ability to jump and block shots will go away before anything else tbh.
I don't really know if the injury is a factor or not. It is co-incidental with the post injury play, though. Some of his blocks come from below the rim and do not involve jumping. The defense that I am not liking is watching guys just go past him. I don't know if he has less lateral movement or what. Just that it coincides with the injury.

As I mentioned, if the injury's a factor, the blocks will be the first to go. Duncan's defense might have dropped off, but I reject the theory that it has anything to do with the injury, unless Duncan just decided to save something for the playoffs.

Whether or not we win tonight, one big difference in the playoffs this year vs. last year is the greater development of both Leonard and Splitter. They give us more offensive options than we had last year, and we clearly need them.

This game is a perfect example of how the Thunder miss Harden. If Harden had the ball instead of Westbrook in the last 5 minutes, the would score no question. He'll get to the line or hit shots.
Dude, you gotta give us some credit, especially when we're playing without TP.

Dude, you gotta give us some credit, especially when we're playing without TP.
We've been great defensively since the 2nd, but I remember seeing Harden in the playoffs and when we played the Rockets this year and you just can't keep the guy out of the lane. It's how teams must have dreaded playing Manu, that craftiness is just so tough to guard.
