Before everyone starts overreacting, OKC hit some contested shots and the end and we missed open jumpers from Neal and Diaw. Another day we finish that quarter 6-0 instead of 0-8

This is an incredibly embarrassing start. Spurs are in a lot of trouble. They have been playing pretty poorly, dealing with a lot of injuries and are in a crazy funk. By Pop's actions (making sure everyone is available) this seemed like a huge game -to see this performance is very telling so far of where this team is truly at heading into the playoffs.

BatManu20
04-04-2013, 09:23 PM
Spurs bench just can't hang with OKC tbh. Same story as last year, they disappeared in this series.

crc21209
04-04-2013, 09:23 PM
Even though Manu hasnt been too good this year, you can tell it's times like these where they miss him. He draws so much attention and is such a good playmaker for his teammates and when he's not out there with the 2nd unit, the team struggles to score.

HarlemHeat37
04-04-2013, 09:23 PM
Spurs weren't going to win this in OKC on the 4th game in 5 nights, after an undermanned Spurs team beat them last game, tbh..there's a reason OKC was favoured by 7, tbh..

It would be nice if these guys could put up a fight though, tbh..so many soft players on this team..

Cut it down to 10 points by the half. That's all I ask. It's still doable.

Exactly. It starts with defense and taking care of the ball. And maybe Pop deciding to put Parker back in cause if he could get it going that'd be awesome

Guys...did you see that fucking stat? Fisher was 3/18 in his last 3 point attempts prior to tonight. Proof that BS happens sometimes. Granted, he's been open...but still come on now....

Gary Neal and inconsistent Nando. I understand CoJo doesn't bring much offense but why not use him on Fisher?

This actually might be a great game if Kawhi learns that he needs to take over at certain points in the game. I'd take a loss for seeing Leonard step up and become a primary threat on offense.

Spur fans and their odd grasping for silver linings. Sure there are some good things to be said in most games, but there is absolutely nothing good coming from this game or how they have been playing lately.

Too many times with that second unit i saw Tiago come over to set a screen for Nando, who would just pick up the dribble instead of running the PnR, then swinging it across the top of the key as the shot clock dwindled.

Well I am of the opinion that the larger the sample size, the more accurate your assessments can be. Sure, it's the regular season but this is not game 7 of an 82 game season. The Spurs are very fragile physically (TP/Manu/Kawhi/Neal/Jax), have been playing really sub par ball lately & the setup up for this game was huge. There is no denying that. Spurs fans have every right to be concerned and for a title contender it is just about panic time going into the playoffs considering all of those things.

Doesn't mean they can't turn it around - it's simply being non-biased and evaluating the current situation. Dont see any real argument outside of blatant optimism to refute this.
