How do the Spurs allow the Nuggets to spot them 14 and still lose the game?
Because we didn't have 5 Tim Duncans on the court.

I trashed Patty this game as well. In fact, I'll even say that he played the worst out of all the guards that played today.
What I'm saying is that Patty shouldn't be in the rotation at this point. He hasn't played meaningful minutes (didn't get minutes for about a month, during which Pop experimented with Cojo, Neal and De Colo), which has got to have some effect on your confidence and belief in your own abilities, and that Pop's gone past even considering him in the backup point guard competition.
Who we should be more critical of are the guards that are STILL in the competition: De Colo, Neal and Cojo. At this point in the season, Mills isn't even in the conversation.
(btw, I've responded to almost all your responses to my "Mills" comments in the past, so I don't know why you're suggesting that I don't seem to respond to them)
So because Patty doesn't get playing time means he should be devoid of any concerning criticism even though he was pegged by a lot of people to be the backup PG this year and even though he's shown to be a better player than what he has displayed this season. You only criticize Patty when you are called out on it. Otherwise, you bring up random stats like buh buh Cojo was 1-7 or he's suppose to be an elite defender. and then ignoring the discussion that Mills was 1-7 himself.

Eh, he kind of gets a pass tonight with Diaw out, tbh. Still, he could have staggered the rotations to avoid it if he wanted to.

It's not that hard to forgive Mills when Pop sits him on the bench for a month.

He could go with a three big rotation with Baynes playing Boris' minutes and if necessary play some smallball with KY as the small ball PF with the rebounding he's providing these days.

He was given his opportunity at the start of the season and couldn't deliver. For the record, I don't hate Mills. I also know Boomersgold is a Patty homer, but some of his arguments have been flawed.

I said that Cojo was supposed to be an elite defender when Andre Miller, someone roughly his size, posted up on him and ended up going to the free throw line with little resistance from Cojo. When someone criticized Patty for being 1-7, I reminded him that Cojo was also 1 of 7. I didn't ignore Patty's 1-7. "buh, buh Cojo isn't a scorer and is unexperienced, so we should excuse him for being 1-7 from the field". Just because Cojo isn't a scorer, that doesn't mean that he's devoid of any of the scrutiny that was handed out to all the other players.
Patty's not devoid of any concerning criticism that you might have for his performance. What I meant was that his bad play isn't as surprising as it would have been if he played this way at the start of the season.

I stopped arguing in favor of having Mills as the backup point guard at this point. It's much too late for that now. Pop should've picked someone and stuck with him at the start of the season.

Thank God we're getting the #2 seed. I'm super-relieved. We can get some guys healthy and build some momentum in Round One. OKC will take care of the Lakers, and we'll gear up for another Western Finals showdown.

What the f**k happened?
Up 14:0 I told you were were going to get blown out. We lose by 10.
That's a 24 point swing.
Some of you act like you've never seen this movie.

The Rockets could be a tough matchup with their ability to score.

I don't think Pop wanted this game. Rest for parker was more important, now we can let the lakers bang up okc a bit before they have to take on either the grizz or the clipps. OKC has the toughest road to the conference finals imo. It used to be the #1 seed gave you a smooth road to the conference finals but not any more, with teams on cruise control until the POs, plus sleeper teams choosing who their matchup is gonna be, the 1 seed is actually a curse now.
