we are just setting ourselves up for disappointment. this team was done many seasons ago. time to rebuild.
Setting ourselves up for disappointment? All year long all you've been doing is moaning about how bad we are/how bad we are going to do. If anything I think you'll be happy to see us lose early.

The Spurs offensive problems are entirely based on Parker's mediocrity, tbh..
Tony hasn't played like a star player in a few weeks, and the Spurs offense has gone downhill with him, tbh..he's shown flashes, but he hasn't played nearly as well as the star we had in the 1st half of the season..
The Spurs without Parker's star level are just Duncan + role players..

I don't know why Spurs fans are acting like being tied with the Lakers is a bad thing. They have two Hall-of-Fame bigs who are getting top priority now that Kobe's out. Sure, Blake's going off, but that's offset by Pau missing everything.
That said, the Spurs can definitely do better. Green is pretty much keeping the game close right now.

We look pretty shitty tbh. We shouldn't be struggling this badly against this team. Parker's inability to do anything since his injury kills this team tbh.
BUT... as shitty as we've looked, it's still tied at halftime. Spurs clean up this crap and in the 2nd half and Blake cools off, we'll win this. Big if though.

In retrospect, the Tony Parker injury might be the most damaging moment of the season. And to some extent, Parker's injury was caused by him having to play heavier minutes in Tim's absence due to the January knee scare. Perhaps the spurs' current troubles can be traced back to that night in January.

That has nothing to do with what I just said. I'm talking about people saying this is one of the worst halves the Spurs have played. It really wasn't. It was a match up between HoF bigs, which the Lakers have been winning 2-1. The fact that it's taking Blake shooting so well from deep to keep the game tied should be encouraging.

What a soft foul, you've gotta be shitting me.
KL just gotta get some touches and points 0/1 + 2 FTs but that's the point, the team just isn't giving him the spacing/passes in order to succeed...then again, that could be Pop's fault for not making it an issue.

Well by ALL means let's force him to push himself beyond what he's capable. That worked so well for the Lakers, right?
Moron.
Did I say he should push himself? I just said that he isn't trying. This game really doesn't mean much.
I guess not trying isn't the correct word choice. He's being careful with his body.

Spurs shot like crap in the first half, and Blake went off like LeBron. That will hopefully change in the second half.
The only chance the Spurs have is to be up by double digits near the end, or Joey C and company will bring it home for the Lakers, guaranteed.

When you got hero ball neal, and Green still trying to compete against leonard for some reason..Kawhi is never at the receiving end of a pass when neal and green have the ball tbh
Green passed to Leonard several times in the first half. The fact that he's been getting shots while Leonard hasn't have little to do with being a ball-hog. Green ended six possessions to three for Leonard. That's really not that big of a disparity.

Pau 1/11 and we're down by 6 smh
One thing that is happening with their bigs is that we are getting zero points in the paint except for a few from Splitter. Parker normally opens it up for our jump shooters by scoring in the paint. He is getting clobbered because the fouls aren't getting called and because our bigs are not playing the pulling guard for him. His jumper is not on, nor is Duncan's much anymore. Tony and Duncan have both missed about the same number of shots, difference being that Tony hasn't made any and Tim has made 5 or 6. With no offense we are going to be in real trouble.

The Lakers are playing inspired D. I haven't seen Howard play this well all year. That being said, the lack of shot creation on this team right now is pathetic. Pop hasn't called any isos for Timmy and Tony is hobbled, so we're just running pick and rolls all game, which anybody will eventually adjust to unless you have a game changer (healthy TP)
