Would be a tougher out for OKC than Utah even without Kobe but we need the rhythm. Kill em.

Is there anything worse we can do to them? If so, sign me up. If not, 'kill em!"

I'm sure there isn't time, but I'd be funny if the Lakers picked up Stephen Jackson for the last two games of the season to replace Kobe, and be in uniform for tonight's game. Then we could see Jackson try and prove to the Spurs that he deserved more playing time. And the awkwardness would be epic.

I am more scared of the lakers without kobe than with him. Howard will probably have season high tonight.

This. Good offensive balance as Dwight and Pau get a chance to show what they can do in a balanced offense. A lot of emotion too from a fired up crowd who wants blood after the Mamba went down. May be a tough game, though I see us with a narrow win.

Actually he can sign with a team, he just can't be on the playoff roster. He could play in the regular season games, though most (all?) teams wouldn't bother.

A combination of his past antics and declining play makes me think Jax maybe done. He might get a tryout somewhere but who would sign him? Maybe Cuban.

I alos believe that this will be a very tough game tonight. Just imagine how much Pau and Howard would like to show how much they can take the Lakers into the playoffs and succeed without Kobe. I think that Pau will get Splitter in early foul trouble, and the Lake Show will get get every imaginable call. At the same time, I think that Howard will be in foul trouble against Duncan, if there are any decent calls at all. Blake will not beat Tony on speed, but he is very physical and TP right now is not wanting to get too much contact, would be my guess. I assume MWP and Leonard will match up against one another, to an entertaining result. I just hope that MWP doesn't go thuggish on Leonard and hurt him.

It would be kinda funny if he signed with a team for 2 games.

Could indeed be, probably is done. His Spurs release might be entirely warranted. Altho being "done" with Pop is not in and of itself evidence that Jax is done.
Jax on the Heat for minimun in '14 for a le share?

    * Manu Ginobili (strained right hamstring) and Boris Diaw (surgery to remove cyst from lower back) did not make the trip west for a back-to-back against the Lakers and Golden State. Popovich hasn’t officially ruled out getting Ginobili into a game before the start of the playoffs. If that’s going to happen, however, it appears it will have to come in the regular-season finale Wednesday at home against Minnesota.

Wow, Spurs could almost knock the Lakers out of the playoff spot with a win tonight.

    Hopefully they make it happen

I'd like to see the Spurs win this game, but I don't know if they have the killer in them right now. In the playoffs, everyone is playing for their lives so the Spurs will have the urgency then. But today LA is wounded and playing for their playoff lives and the Spurs are on the road and may get complacent and not have the appropriate focus w Bryant out. I'd like to see the Spurs show some toughness tonight.

Dwight and Pau are beasting together right now - they will likely be a handful. No Nash, without Kobe, definitely hurts but the Spurs lost to a Lebron/Wade-less Heat team so you never know.
