The first one really didn't need a follow up but I guess this one is back on fan demand. I'd watch this one too.

That's what they were saying about the first one. Mainly because of Frank Miller's style. Didn't turn out too bad.

With movies like these you know what you're getting beforehand so people shouldn't cry for their money back when they see the outrageous.

Anyway,the first movie ended with a scene before the Plataie battle,so either this should be the sequel or they're going for a trilogy?

I didn't mean empty as an insult. It is part of my own DVD collection, after all.

Maybe superficial would be a better word? I agree that it succeeded at its intentions, I just think it's intentions were slick visuals and flashy action without much else going on under the surface. That's fine, but it requires one hell of a surface, and that seems to be lacking in the trailer for the new one.

My son was a little too young for 300, he's going to love this.

300 the only movie I've ever gone to a theater alone to watch. Nobody else was into it.

This looks goofy as fuck. The first was one of a kind, lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice. And who's the lead? One thing you can't say about the first is that Gerard Butler wasn't badass
