As just gonna post a thread about it.
Looks like they took it in a massive scale this time.
The first one really didn't need a follow up but I guess this one is back on fan demand. I'd watch this one too.

let's see how bad they up the battle of salamis
It really is one of the most amazing true srories ever. Obviously Hollywood has to Hollywood it.
Surprised Hollywood hasn't taken the Attila the Hun story and Hollywooded it.
Maybe they should do the Avante story and "Hollywood" it up.
Just looks silly.
See the le of this thread? Stick to the topic, got it?

That's what they were saying about the first one. Mainly because of Frank Miller's style. Didn't turn out too bad.
With movies like these you know what you're getting beforehand so people shouldn't cry for their money back when they see the outrageous.
The first movie was crap. Wgaf.
Well the first one was cool, but this seems way too fake. I don't know..That horse in the trailer goes underwater then jumps back out?? Or I'm just seeing something else?
Anyway, the first movie ended with a scene before the Plataie battle,so either this should be the sequel or they're going for a trilogy?
is this about the john varvatos edition?
The first one looked beautiful but empty, which it eventually turned out to be. This one, sadly, doesn't even look that beautiful.
I also did a double take on said horse. WTF?
What felt empty about the first one?
I thought it delivered on what it intended to do.
I dont look at thse type of films seriously. Its just to pass the time and a reason to go see something.
I didn't mean empty as an insult. It is part of my own DVD collection, after all.
Maybe superficial would be a better word? I agree that it succeeded at its intentions, I just think it's intentions were slick visuals and flashy action without much else going on under the surface. That's fine, but it requires one of a surface, and that seems to be lacking in the trailer for the new one.
My son was a little too young for 300, he's going to love this.
300 the only movie I've ever gone to a theater alone to watch. Nobody else was into it.
This looks goofy as . The first was one of a kind, lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice. And who's the lead? One thing you can't say about the first is that Gerard Butler wasn't badass
