View Full Version : Spurs are in serious negotiations with #Suns to acquire Marcin Gortat
Man, earlier today my head was spinning with dreams of an "Eastern Block" (see what I did there?) front court with AK47 and Gortat. Now, in all probability, we're going to be stuck with the Labia Twins: Bonner and Splitter. Again. Poor Tim.
First the championship that wasn't and now this. Being a Spurs fan is tough on the ol' ticker.

Not a free agent, but is Marcin Gortat still playing well? Maybe a sign-and-trade with Splitter for him. Try to get something for Splitter at least, don't just let him walk.
I posted this 3 days ago in this thread: http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=218851&p=6717354#post6717354
Was there ever any truth to this, or did the reporter just steal the idea from spurstalk? I was starting to hope I was prescient.

Gortat and Splitter have very similar contracts. Spurs had to sign Splitter now so they don't get poisoned-pilled and lose him for nothing, but that doesn't mean they won't trade him later if they aren't happy with him. Patience is in order.
