Didnt look bad tbh. Had first and goal in the last minute and took a dumb sack. Took it to a playoff team on the road, and Pryor was effective. :tu

If janikowski makes the 40 some yard field goal at the end of a half, a field goal wins at the end. They were better than I thought, which makes the loss painful

I like Pryor. I think the coaching staff made the right decision starting him over Flynn. He has some obvious weaknesses, but that's a good thing when you're talking about a player so young. He should be able to get a lot better. In the very least, he'll back the year more exciting.

breh, the future is bright in oakland. hopefully T-Pain can keep it up and bring that excitement back to the yay area. y'all are ahead of the curve with having a monkeyballer, so the qb position is set, for now. if T-Pain pans out then y'all should be looking for a pass rusher, offensive tackle and receiver. in that order.

Pryor can be good, but not sure if he really will be that "franchise qb for the next decade" type of guy just yet. I think Pryor is more in the Vince Young mold than the Kaepernick/Cam Newton category, but hopefully more mentally stable. That said, our defense is what looked good to me. Gave up TD's on the fist 2 possessions, but really cleaned their act up for the last 3 quarters of the game. The main issue with our team right now is the o-line. Pryor can survive bad protection, but our running game isn't going to get going with the way they're playing. Granted, our O-line is currently the most beat up line in the league. Hopefully our (backup) LT will be back next week. If we can get our run game to be at least competent, this team could push for 7 wins or so and I wouldn't be too surprised. Before week 1, I had us winning somewhere between 3-5 games, but Pryor and our defense looked impressive

Jags at Raiders. who ya'll got :lol.

we beat the jags last year in the MJD linsfranc game :lol although it took a carson palmer comeback to do so. i still remember he essentially stripped that retarded Knapp of playcalling duties when he started to go no-huddle in the 2nd half, which is when our offense started clicking

The Raiders have won four of the last five in Denver. 6-1 vs the spread in the last seven.

We do see historical trends hold up better in division games for the obvious reasons.

If historical trends are so important to you, why does the Super Bowl loser trend just brushed off by you?

If Pryor can stay healthy, we have a chance at 8-8.

spurraider21

more importantly, if Pryor continues to play reasonably well, he'll probably buy himself another year. the raiders have so many needs that it would actually benefit them to not draft a qb early this year. fill other voids with high picks, and then see what Pryor does or how he progresses in a second year, this time with a full camp getting starting reps. that said, this early season play could be a fluke and then we'd be looking at taking an early round qb.

Pryor looked pretty solid again last night. He really has been a pleasant surprise. Will be interesting to see as the year goes on, and teams have more film on him, how they gameplan for him, and how he adjusts.

Raiders limping into the bye, literally. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks we can get our 2nd string offensive linemen back on their feet. I've given up hope on getting the starting unit back, tbh. Pass protection issues aside, tough for a young qb to survive without a run game. Only Luck has done that recently, but he's the best QB prospect ever. Pryor's gotta be protected, he ain't good enough to overcome all this shit

Wooh! Starting Center Stefen Wisniewski is expected to return against the Steelers this Sunday. This is huge because it improves 2 positions. Do to the multitude of injuries, we had to move our starting right guard over to center (which he had never played before, not even in college) and plug in the backup RG. Now Brisiel can move back to starting at RG as well as having Wiz back at C.

First 3 tackles on the depth chart still out and still have 3rd string left guard playing, but good to have Wiz back

I'm driving up to Oakland for next week's game against the Eagles. I've been up there once a year since the Gannon era, and I haven't seen the Raiders win at home since 2006 when we beat the Steelers. The Raiders ended up 2-14 that year (the Aaron Brooks/Andrew Walter year) and I happened to catch half of their wins :lol... they went on to draft JaWalrus. I also head to SD for their annual matchup, and i've seen some wins there in recent years (will be going again in December). Still, would be nice to catch a win at the coliseum.
