Belinelli and Manu are easily the players of the game
Wish Kawhi passed it out to a hot/wide open Marco there. It's like he's always looking to attack when he has it. Kinda forcing a bit
It's okay, he'll go one of two from the line (per usual)

Can you really blame the fans when they're the ones paying for the players salary? If I'm a Spurs fan I expect the players to show up well rested instead of playing their best basketball for their national teams.

12 years of excellence is overrating Parker by quite a bit. He was an elite PG the last two years - best in the league possibly. But that's about it. During the 2000s, he routinely rode Tim and Manu's coattails.
Can you really blame the fans when they're the ones paying for the players salary? If I'm a Spurs fan I expect the players to show up well rested instead of playing their best basketball for their national teams.
So in the past when Manu has played for his national teams and/or been awful in the playoffs, were you calling for him to be traded or blaming him for every defensive miscue? Just curious.

I never called for Manu to be traded but I largely blamed Manu's disappointing season last year on his decision to play for Argentina. Had he rested over the summer, there's a good chance we already have title number 5. It's funny. I was called a Manu hater last year and now I'm apparently a TP hater. I don't hate either player. The only thing I truly detest is international basketball. It's done nothing but cripple the Spurs the last five years.

I don't have a problem with fans being disappointed with the way Tony is playing right now. I even admitted to being upset myself with his lack of speed and ability to get to the rim.
There's a CHASM between being disappointed and the kind of vitriol that gets spewed here on a nightly basis in Parker's direction, however. And that's the rub. I hate the blame game. That's for Lakers fans trying to save Kobe's legacy when he destroys a team.

But who missed free throws?
Parker took one bad shot late in the game and everyone wants to pounce on him.
took a bad shot, missed a wide open layup, and left his man wide open for a 3 pointer over the course of 30 seconds at the end of the game. am i lying?

Spurs just continuing not only their bad play overall, but at home which is a big concern. Tim looks really bad IMO. He can't finish around the rim with any sort of consistency. He get's bullied around down there and it takes a toll on him. TP continues to not only lack explosion but focus. He's really just drifting and floating in and out of games. He's good enough to still put up decent numbers, but the offense is in a funk in large part to TP/Tim.
The Spurs have been for a while a team that feasted on bad teams and they have done that this year too, dropping home games to bad teams is just all around bad. Lot's of concerns at this point in the year, but still a great record and plenty of time to progress.

IMO, the fact we didn't get a single time to the line the entire 1st half goes to show this team just thought they would half ass it and win anyways. He looks awkward taking a bigger chunk of the offensive responsibilities. He is more effective as a cutter and camping out in the corner. His explosiveness off the dribble allowed him to take advantage of his rotating defender and get the rim.

Our play is just complete shit all around, tbh. Our offense is painful to watch. It's 75% isolation. We don't get good shots anymore besides when we catch defenders slipping for those high post passes to a guard under the basket. We can't defend ANYONE that actually deserves to be in the NBA. Can't rebound for shit against any team that has more than one player under 29.
The team IQ is low as fuck compared to the early 2000s. Some of our turnovers are just buttfucking retarded. We take some of the dumbest, most questionable 3pt attempts I've ever seen. We are soft as baby poop on 5-ply Charmin Ultra. Our gameplan is gimmicky as fuck and we don't know where we are going to get shots from when Parker can't just repeatedly lollygag into the lane for 2 points.
Speaking of Parker, he's fucking useless if he isn't having an easy time scoring. Just totally one-note right now.
Tim is old. That's understandable and unavoidable and not his fault, but he exacerbates that situation with his fucking slow as dirt decision-making. Fucking get your defender pinned and fucking go into your shooting motion already. He waits for the guy to fucking knock the ball out of his hand every time, or lollygags looking for a double when he's been too fucking timid all game for anyone to bother doubling him. Fucking speed your mental process up, Tim!
Tiago is goddamned puny as shit.
The whole team plays like a fucking assemblage of goofs; falling over themselves, tipping rebounds away from themselves and teammates, repeatedly volleying rebounds until someone on the other team who actually has the desire to win claims it for himself. Fucking airballing 2ft shot attempts. Doubling at the most random times for no reason leaving hot 3 point shooters wide the fuck open. Just generally not attempting to guard anyone so they can get back on offense.
Goddamn when did the team get some fucking...goofy? We used to be about business.
Just too gimmicky and silly these days.

To put it simply the Spurs knew they were playing the Knicks and felt like they didn't need to come prepared. This is the perfect example of how anyone can beat anyone in the NBA on any given night if the circumstances are right. And look at OKC.

TP's on/off numbers are scary bad right now. Our offense is better when he's sitting on the bench...that's how ineffective he's been this year. Hopefully he doesn't get picked for the all-star game. It'll give him a chance to rest for a week and it might motivate him to play better towards the second half of the season.

Parker is a real concern right now. On every drive that he makes to the basket he is looking for a foul call rather than trying to find the best possible shot/open man. It's getting really annoying and I'm a fan. It totally makes sense why the refs simply flat-out ignore his antics after every drive to the hoop.

Exactly. They only seemed to play hard in this game in the final 6 minutes, but by then it was already too late. I'm tired of this lackadaisical play and the over-reliance on the bench bringing the energy every game. Which reminds me that Pop needs to stick Beli back on the bench. They have lost their spark in my opinion.

Pretty sure we have no chance of getting HCA against the East at this point.
Too many betas tbh... Zero elite player right now...
This is sad... POP should rest Parker like Cuban did with Dirk, he should also tell him to take more 3s tbh, he was always gonna have to rely on 3s as hes slowing down...
Kawhi and Tiago can't carry shit... The perimeter D is so bad... But hey they didn't get a SF so they obviously don't give a fuck...
