I'm concerned about Drew Brees, tbh..he has looked shaky as of late, he's one of my favorite players in the league, I hope he isn't finished as a top QB..

If he plays poorly tonight, it may be the end for him as a standout QB, tbh..

:(..

I'ma havta agree with my man, America's Hat. This game is boring. It's not a great run game. It's burning TO's early. It's under throws. Just not a high level of play on either side.

BRHornet45
01-04-2014, 09:32 PM
Saints will be kicking off so they desperately need to get at least 3 more points on the board in this final 1:48.

2 timeouts left so it's definitely possible, but Brees has got to stop making stupid decisions. he hasn't been completely awful because that first interception wasn't on him, but dude has been off.

Has Brees been Thunderstruck?

BRHornet45
01-04-2014, 09:42 PM
hell of a kick ... I'll take the 7-6 score considering Brees and the offense has been off. everyone is going to look at the 2 interceptions and blame Brees, but only one of those was truly his fault as the receiver didn't run out the route on the other one. also the Eagles defensive backs have been damn strong tonight. the Saints have dominated the game, but struggling to score.....

Comparatively, that makes sense. Although, Foles doesn't take the kind of chances that Rodgers would take in a game. So he's unlikely to give a game away. I wouldn't want to play SF no matter what with that defense.

A few plays can define a game. And Philly is probably the most explosive offensive in terms of plays in chunks in the league. The aspect of your defense that needs to be tightened up is the secondary. Foles or Rodgers? I'd rather play Foles every time though. I just wouldn't sell short this offense. They proved they can beat a top defense in Arizona.

I fear that because the fans will put up with such shitty conditions, the Packers will get a couple terrible calls in their favor. plus now that Rodgers is part of TEAM BOTTOM, I can see him getting the hookup as well. still Niners are a grim reminder of where he could've played, where he could've buttslammed in peace and quiet, so we still have that edge. I know some people up north like to argue that being outside in horrible weather is "real" football, but that's never been true and it's 2014. every stadium should have a retractable roof in case of horrible conditions like that.

Niners have had like that one call against GB, i'm sure they will be talking about it but they should've never called a penalty on Staley in the first place, that roided fag Clay Matthews pulled a fast one there. besides we already got hosed in the Saints game with the BS call on Brees.

I disagree about the play-calling brother. I wish Payton would have run the ball the entire game. After the 20-7 lead, Lewis got hurt and the Saints defense fell apart. But the running game won this game. Saints o-line don't block as well on the road so its important they keep running it. Having Pierre hurt was a blessing in disguise since Ingram and Robinson have rushed the ball better most of the season.

son the running game was HUGE and I was proud to see Ingram get into the end zone. I mean they ran the ball almost 60% of the time. HOWEVER ... in crunch time early in the 4th quarter I wanted to see Brees throw the ball for a first down. say what you want, but when the Saints got up 20-7 Payton got too conservative.

Isn't there at least one beatdown every year on WC Weekend? I see the GB-SF being close throughout, which leaves the CIN-SD game. Seriously doubt the Chargers run away with it but there's a possibility the Bengals could blow them out. Cincy plays at an incredibly elite level at home this year, and even though Dalton may have a case of the Matt Ryans, my gut is telling me the Bengals win by 10. Hope I'm wrong though, b/c SD is a dangerous team while Cincy is only capable of winning this one game.
