You know, we can't underestimate Denver's heart either. They've been playing tough lately and did beat OKC recently.

Well, again, my comments (can't speak for others) stem from this entire season's body of work. Tonight is a reminder (as you see, the Spurs did need him tonight) and he just hasn't been very good despite getting ample rest and limited minutes.

He's averaging 18 and 6 this season. Just turrible. How does this guy have a starting job?

It's been good. Not great. 18/6 in 28-29 minutes on a fantastic team with our ball movement is actually very respectable. I'm concerned about his health just like everyone else. But you guys are already hammering nails into his coffin, which seems a bit premature given that we have the best record in the league by soon to be 3 games and Pop isn't even playing Parker 30 minutes per this season.

If Tony was going for 24/8 every game he'd be accused of statpadding, heroballing, ballhogging, because this offense is "SO EFFICIENT OMG WHY DOES THIS GUY TAKE 15 SHOTS PER GAME" etc.

Sure, the last part is really stupid from people. He's amazing when playing well. Again, my concern is that he was so tired or injured (coasting card was not really viable early on ) that Pop did a drastic move and rested him 3+ weeks. If someone is either tired or injured, 3 weeks should cure one of all ailments. Then he came back and still looks gassed. But, I am willing to wait and see, but I would not be at all surprised if if comes out that he's injured much more than the Spurs are letting on.

He needs to be able to go full speed in the playoffs and I really hope he can.

Let me break it down for you, as you are newbie:

TP ain't 21. He's not fast. He's not even quick. All he is crafty.

His J is broke.

He's old and used up from playing selfishly over seas for ever DECADE WITHOUT A SINGLE BREAK.

All these 3 point shooters on the Spurs, TP should be averaging 13 points and 12-13 assists.

But he's always chasing stupid, empty hero numbers, instead of winning numbers.

I'm not concerned about the collapse against Denver tonight. I'm concerned with Green's foot. We're about to have a very tough stretch coming up, and the last thing we need is our 2nd best perimeter defender to be injured.
