Spo was quite terrible in his debuts but I have to recognize he is doing a good job since last year. He is not anymore a liability by far.
He made the key calls in the Finals he made Pop take out Duncan down the stretch. Sure, pop had done that before in the regular season but young Pop doesn't sit down timmy that close to a title ...especially if Heat doesnt go small. Then he sneaks Bosh back in and Pop doesnt counter. The padawan schooled the master for 28 seconds ...and it cost the spurs a title.
Before that though Pop was probably the most valuable Man in that series outside Lebron, Tony and Maybe Danny Green.

Bobo has been superb this year but had some games off lately that's what I meant. The TP suckage this year is a tad overrated to be fair.
No it isn't, plus the Enrique schtick was a lot of fun... but I'm glad I've given him the benefit of the doubt tbh

If Vogel didn't pull Hibbert for some inexplicable reason at the end of Game 1, Pacers beat the Heat last year. Ironic how Miami seems to pull out wins when the other team takes out their best big with the game on the line.
True story but again Spo forced that switch ... Considering teams shoot such a low % in clutch situations why do coaches sacrifice Rebounders for close out speed? To me you protect the paint and close out hard on good shooters. I do not get why professional teams do such dumb shit ...
No way Hibbert or Tim are sitting when I need a key defensive stop or rebound ...

One thing's for sure, Pacers need to improve ASAP or they won't even make it past Round 2. Miami better at least break a sweat in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Can Timmy catch Pierce in all-time points? Tim is within striking distance, does playoffs/finals count if so If Pierce doesnt drag out his career maybe Timm catches him

Yep. Been saying it since the beginning of the year. Miami will cake walk the first 2 rounds and beat Indy in 6 or so to reach the Finals once again. Pacers aren't good enough, even with home court.
If Miami gets Chicago in the second round that won't be a cakewalk at all.

Damn this win got me pumped! Gotta stay healthy going into the PO's because none of this will matter if they dont win it all this season.

So do Spurs throw tomorrow's game against Golden State and try to beat OKC?
Possibly if they played tomorrow, but they actually play the Warriors on Wednesday.
Spurs went undefeated in March
Coincidentally they also went undefeated in March of 1996.

Will be really, really interesting to see how Pop handles this upcoming b2b. I know he'll prob just sit most if not all of the Big 3 against OKC but I can see the players lobbying hard to play tbh.
Maybe he sits Duncan against the Dubs and only rests Manu on Thursday....

Right before Pop threw up the 3 goggles after Patty hit a 3 in the 2nd qtr, anybody else catch that tbh?

went better than my wildest expectations. go spurs go!
boris saved the day, kawhi is ready to be elite, patty can help in serious games, parker is going to be just as lethal as last year, and tiago is a defensive cornerstone.

It will be interesting to see how Pop plays it. It would be awesome to win both games on Wednesday and Thursday. That would pretty much lock up the #1 seed and he could begin to rest some guys...

they've been resting guys throughout the streak tbh. I think the Spurs have pretty much locked up the #1 overall seed, would take a pretty big collapse for them to lose it to OKC.
I love how David West is now a non-factor against the Spurs thanks mainly to Splitter, but also Diaw.
That fucker was like prime-Dirk against us in his NO days...

He either lost a step or was extremely worn out... worst I've seen him in years...

I've seen him play really well this season, I think he probably is worn out, I don't think he has missed a game this year. But his eyes used to light up against the Spurs, now he is borderline liability against them.

He lost a step and plays too many minutes I still remember that series against NO that Spurs won in 7 games with a sick Timmy and bad airplanes (voodoo shit).
After reading a little bit of the Pacers forum, those guys are ready to jump off the cliff. Some are being a little over dramatic on not being able to take regular season losses
So basically, they're a lot like SpursTalk...:downspin:
