Game is this upcoming Monday @ 6:00 CT. Will be aired on FSSW and NBATV.

When these teams meet on Monday, they will each have the best record in their respective conferences.

Quick notes about the Pacers:

Pacers are currently ranked 1st in defensive rating and opponents points per game.
The Pacers will be on the tail end of a back to back having played the day before in Cleveland. (The game begins at 2:00 pm CT on Sunday(tomorrow)).
Players that will probably be out are Andrew Bynum and CJ Watson.
With the injury situation and one player swapped with another (Granger for Turner), they normally run an eight man rotation.

Pacer fans and their forum:

Pacer fans have their own site independent of a larger sports site much like Spurstalk, they post on pacersdigest.com, or: http://www.pacersdigest.com/forumdisplay.php?3-Indiana-Pacers&
A lot of their fans respect and admire the Spurs so yeah, there's that tidbit if anybody gives a shit...

Oh yeah, can't forget:

Pacers haven't been playing like they were to start out the year. Since the all-star break, they're only 12-9.

That being said, we'll be on the road, and the Pacers will probably come out extremely motivated, like they do when they play the Heat...especially because they're coming off a big loss to the Wizards and we're on a big winning streak.

Popovich on upcoming game with Indiana: "They last time they beat us really well, really easily, so it's a game we're looking forward to."
https://twitter.com/danmccarneysaen

Rare for Pop to openly make such a statement.

Indiana's home/road split is stark. 19-17 on the road and 33-4 (best in the NBA) at home. That's why they're so desperate to get the top seed in the East.

Should be a good one. TD/Hibbert, Kawhi/Paul George, TP/George Hill. Getting Danny back so that Marco doesn't have to spend too much time on Stephenson would be a real plus.

Tiago was also injured in the 2nd quarter which led to Pop playing Matt the entire 3rd quarter which led David West to abuse him and when he didnt abuse him 1v1 he was making passes to open 3s

Indiana ended up just shooting out of their minds in that game like all the contenders did we played in the beginning of the season
finished the game going 54/47/93 as a team
if you left them all wide open they wouldnt finish with those numbers since theyre a terrible offensive team
George isnt on a hot streak anymore either like he was back then

Damn, the Pacers look really bad at times...maybe it's playing down to the opponents level idk. I seriously don't think they'll hold on the number one seed but if I was them I wouldn't want to. The 2nd seed looks better right now because they avoid Chicago/Brooklyn in the second round.

Pacers are still 33-4 at home, so despite them playing poorly lately they still get Ws at home. No way this is gonna be an easy game. But I agree with some of them here that we should try to stomp them really bad if we get the chance ...

After reading a little bit of the Pacers forum, those guys are ready to jump off the cliff. Some are being a little over dramatic on not being able to take regular season losses. I for one will be watching the game and won't really care if we lose that game. I'm actually hoping this winning streak ends soon because it kinda feels like it did 2 years ago and we all know how that turned out. Not too concerned with that because this team has a ridiculous amount of experience that they've gain in the last 2 years.
We'll see how this goes. Only less than 3 weeks to go before the playoffs start and the players and fans are right back where we were a year ago.
I think I speak for most fans when I say, whether the Spurs win it all this year or not, I just want the Spurs to get another shot at the Finals and if possible against Miami..

5-5 in the Last10 in March sure looks bad (Spurs have been there, for sure), like something broke.

Spurs win if Pop plays to win and doesn't screw around with weird lineups. Setting the Spurs' record of 18 straight at this Pacer team would be great.

As amazing is the Spurs win streak, is the falling off of the Pacers.

A still-recovering, rarely used Granger gets traded for Evan Turner, the signing of talented, but often-troubled Andrew Bynum, and maybe even that Lance Stephenson not making the All-Star team...I wonder if any of these things really had an impact on how the Pacers have fallen since the break? Or could it just be boredom, playing in the East, knowing you've clinched the 1 or 2 seed after the first month of the season?

And they clinched a playoff spot a month ago. I remember thinking that the Spurs with the best record in the league were still weeks away from being able to clinch and they had clinched in January. Gotta be hard to stay focused when the competition in your conference is so weak.

The players are all acting like they are on an episode of Dr. Phil over there, talking about "rock bottom" and "soul searching". Not sure exactly what the cause of the trouble is (although signing one of the biggest known cancers in the league could play into it), but there is definitely turbulence afoot.

Yeah, it's crazy. Can't say I recall ever seeing anything like it. Usually a drop off like this is due to an injury to a key player, but I haven't heard of anyone missing time. Stopping the Spurs streak could be HUGE to get off the doctor's couch or a decisive loss could spiral them further down the rabbit hole where they start publicly pointing fingers.

I thought from the beginning it was huge mistake by Vogel and some of the players to publicly state that they needed HCA. Why add that pressure? They should have taken the Pop approach. Not sure if the Pop influenced him, but I heard a Spoelstra interview that sounded much like Pop. Indy's looking mighty mortal these days, and the Spurs have been humming even with Parker playing like it's 1998. It's definitely going to be the toughest game they've had in some time, but it's winnable, depending on what lineups Pop throws at them. Indy need it more than the Spurs.

Wow...read this IndyStar preview. I couldn't believe their prediction!

Prediction: It's fitting that the Pacers will finish the last full month of the regular season against San Antonio. At least at one time, some believed that this could be a preview of the NBA Finals. The Spurs are playing good basketball at the right time heading into the post season. Indiana may be a different beast at home, but have shown too many alarming signs here in March. The Spurs win 113-80.

On a side note, Baynes is starting to show a concerning lack of ability to stay healthy. Every time he starts to get some consistent minutes and make a little rumble, he gets hurt and derails himself. I know it's a bit of bad luck involved, but he needs to find a way to keep his body healthy and out on the court, or he is going to end up going the way of Ian Mahinmi.

I think at the moment Pop wants to see what Daye has got going in to the playoffs. If pop likes what daye continues to bring or not bring, we could eventually see Daye in the p/o rotation. Sure it's a stretch, but just a hunch based on what i've seen lately.

So did Duncan actually crack Baynes's rib when he hit him the other night? Or was it probably already cracked and Duncan might've just aggravated it? Didn't look like he hit him THAT hard, but sometimes all it takes is hitting something at the right spot and angle.

What was the situation with Ian? I always wondered why the hell we didn't keep him. Was it because at the time we had the bonner/blair lineup?

At first, he was buried in the rotation behind veterans like Horry, Oberto, and McDyess. But even once the spots became available for him, he was always injured. He played only 6 games in 2007-2008, sat the entire 2008-2009 season, and played 26 games in 2009-2010. He would come in, show a few promising games, then get hurt again. He couldn't even beat out Blair and Bonner for the garbage man spot, so he spent most of his time up in the DLeague.
