Pop doesn't make adjustments in a series.. he just lets it unfold.. "They're NBA players, they know what they're supposed to do" He'll just hope they don't turn the ball over the next game, won't really do much about the switching or the fact that he's playing Jeff Ayres. Our bench has turned back into a pumpkin..

In a way, it's expected. First, they inexplicably choke away a fifth title.

The suns had HCA in that series and that Spurs team regular season wise was terrible. They were the 7th seed so I expected them to struggle against that Suns squad. Can't compare that situation. That team had prime Amare,Nash and a bunch of talented players. This Mavs team has only one star in its prime and that is Monta.

I just don't understand how they can let it happen in the playoffs... They in no fucking way look like a contender in these first two games. Where did are fucking bench go?!?! Patty and Belli are just disgusting to watch on Defense, and now they can't make a shot to save their lives? Very disappointing tbh
This is the playoffs, you're gonna lose games. And of course you're not gonna look like contenders in losses. Adjustments need to be made, and I think we'll be fine.

I will maintain that for the playoffs, MANU should start over Green. Make the most out of your Big 3, take less pressure off of Manu so he will have less chance to turn the ball over with the ball in TP's hands, and it would open up Kawhi for better shot attempts. Green will NEVER be able to shoot like he did in the Finals last year, we have to come to terms with that. His D is valuable but not to the point where we should keep starting him over Manu at this point, in my opinion.

Pathetic focus, pathetic play. Regular season ball movement bullshit players that can't/won't step up in the playoffs.
Even Gary Neal is better at creating his own shot than half the scrubs that are playing for the Spurs out here. I don't even think Mills will score what Gary Neal did in game 1 of these playoffs.

It's amazing what 22 TOs will do to you. The Spurs finished the game at 50% shooting from the field, 50% from 3, 12 fast break points to Dallas' 17, and ended up getting more points from FTs than Dallas did despite shooting a shocking 64%, and lost by 21 points. Dallas put up nearly 30 more FGA and won by a margin that nearly matched their points-off-turnovers.

There's a quote in my reply where the poster specified about losing game 1 or 2 at home in a series. What else would I have been referring to? You obviously didn't read the quote I replied to. Well, if it's going to help you put all this together in your head, let's go back to 2006 when the Spurs got obliterated by 22 points in Game 2 at home against the Mavericks. Duncan played in that series, and the Spurs lost in 7 games to a team that matched up really well with them. What would your point be? That the last time the Spurs lost by this much at home to a playoff team, they lost the series? Does that statistic really mean anything to you now, in 2014? By the way, the Spurs lost Game 2 to the Dubs last year by 9 points after narrowly winning Game 1. They won that series in 6 games, does that blow a hole in the logic coming from the 2006 series now? Or are we still in 2014?
If you want to bemoan the opponent's credentials in the wake of a pathetic home loss, go ahead. Last I checked, Carlisle's Mavericks haven't done shit since 2011 and no playoff series has ever determined a winner after the road team ties everything up at 1-1. Nobody in the Mavs locker room is seriously going to look at the Spurs and shrug them off after two games as weak. You want to laud Carlisle, laud him for not being the kind of idiot who would look at a 1-1 road split against the defending Western champs and a team he's beaten once in ten tries and think "oh, we've got this." Nothing is final until someone wins 4 games. The Mavs have played awfully well. The Spurs haven't yet. If they don't, then they lose and Dallas rightfully takes the series. If they do, Dallas is toast. Period. Neither of those outcomes will be determined by how badly the Spurs got washed tonight. How each team plays from Game 3 onward will decide that.

After assigning Spurs nemesis Joey Crawford to officiate Game 1, the league had Danny Crawford on hand for Game 2 to the chagrin of the Mavericks' fans. But just as in the opener, both officials reserved most calls and non-calls for the opposition. Crawford's lack of calls led Popovich to scream at Crawford throughout the first half.

It was a downright pathetic performance and if they come out with more of these, they won't win. I didn't say that the Spurs would keep playing like this or that they would definitely lose the series for sure, I'm just emphasizing that they can lose to this team as opposed to the people that said the Spurs will win in 4-5 games before this series started. It's not going to be anywhere near as easy as a quite a few posters here thought it would be.

4 rings and another one we hand-gifted away. Your loser team isn't even deem fit to polish a 3 point shooting competition trophy let alone get near a Championship game. Keep being the NBA's toilet paper.
