It was a downright pathetic performance and if they come out with more of these, they won't win. I didn't say that the Spurs would keep playing like this or that they would definitely lose the series for sure, I'm just emphasizing that they can lose to this team as opposed to the people that said the Spurs will win in 4-5 games before this series started. It's not going to be anywhere near as easy as a quite a few posters here thought it would be.

To be fair, a 5 game series is a) still possible and b) not an unreasonable outlook to have had before Game 2. The Spurs had been steamrolling the Mavs over several seasons and hadn't turned in a performance like this in years. The Spurs have yet to play their game. If they had been, this wouldn't be a discussion. If they go to Dallas and keep playing like this, sure, the series gets ugly. But prior to tonight I don't think the Mavs stood a chance in hell, primarily because the Spurs had won Game 1 without really trying. I'm still not going to be surprised if they come back to SA for Game 5 with a 3-1 lead. I will be surprised if they come back any worse than 2-2.

Carslile's pulling a CIA Pop. His defensive gameplan is alot different from the regular season. It makes sense. Take out the role players and force the Spurs big 3 to beat you.
