Irrespective of whether it's the Spurs or the Mavs, am I right in thinking that all the games will be at 9.30pm ET (and later in Portland)? Based on the existing semi-final line-ups, it seems to be 7ET for the East and 9.30ET for the West. Makes a huge difference for us coffee slurpers over in the UK. This series with Dallas has been pretty civilised, in terms of start times.

This is one of the hardest series to predict for me in a long time...mainly because the Spurs have looked so good and so bad in the first round. It could be anything from a Spurs sweep to a Blazers sweep. I guess I'll split it and say Spurs in 7.

Aldridge, Lillard, Batum, Lopez, Mathews are all more than capable of playing 40+ minutes without looking gassed. In fact, they look like they more in the tank even after playing 40 than most spurs players that play over 30...I'm not confident about this series tbh. Lillard is the only mismatch, and we all know by now this team doesn't rely on exploiting mismatches as much as other team..Mathews is no pushover either.

If they steal one of the first two games then I may change my opinion. Also helps that Portland hasn't looked as dominant at home as I expected so far in these playoffs.

I agree, with the caveat that the first two games will be closer than they need to be because Pop pushed Green down the rotation again. Midway through Game Four, Pop lets Danny play, which plays a large role in the Spurs stealing that game, and it's not particularly close in Game Five.

I don't think Matthews has much to do with it. I feel Pop is under the impression that Leonard is the Spurs' best perimeter defender in every situation. That's why he had Kawhi on Ellis during the beginning of the Dallas series. It wouldn't surprise me to see Pop use him on Lillard and Green on Batum, who's a bad match-up for Danny. Kawhi would struggle, but because Green would also be struggling, it would take Pop a few games to realize they'd both play better if they switched guards. Pop's slow when it comes to depending on Green. Remember the WCSF last year?

While I agree with this...the blazers were playing against a Houston team that plays one on one defense and had no real scheme. I know the blasters have been successful against the spurs in recent regular season mach ups, but they're about to find out what it's like to go up against a veteran team that doesn't get rattled in the playoffs.

The Dallas match up was a perfect setup for this series. Not only did it wake them up, they had to deal with a shooting big and quick guard. If pop uses green on lillaird, like he should, I see the spurs taking this in six, with two blowouts (one for each), and four really tough games.

As always, taking care off the ball on the dribble on their hard close outs, setting good screens and making crisp passes is key to getting those looks. Kawhi has a chance to be huge this series as he's the best mid-range guy the Spurs have.

The lack of Spurs coverage on BT Sport has been scandalous. All season long, it's been Heat, Lakers, Heat, Lakers etc. They try way too hard to appeal to the casual fan, and don't seem to have any awareness about current league standings. Hopefully now that there's only four ties left, the Spurs should get some love (probably in the 3.30am slots, mind you). I taped Game 6 and watched it before work the next day (at about 5am). Problem was, I'd only left enough time for the 48 minutes, so was pretty screwed by the time it went to OT. Ended up rushing through it and drove to work wondering what the hell I'd just seen. Not the best start to a day.
