Blazers with 27 fta in 3 quarters on the road, we are gonna get screwed in Portland.
Yes, it's going to be tough to win in Portland so it's important the Spurs win the first 2 home games.

I really do like that Manu is finding his way into the paint - if he can pass effectively out of that and draw fouls it's a huge plus.
Yup. Manu's free-throw attempt rate in these playoffs is the 2nd highest of his career, Only 2005 post-season ranks higher. The sample size is small though(seven games against the Mavs) but it's a good sign.

Given, the Spurs haven't played their starters huge minutes and the lead allowed them to play some other guys, POR had a much bigger impact in the second half. They won the 3Q and are winning the 4th as of now. Spurs defense gave up more and more defensively as well.

Weirdest feeling, I never think a game is over too early, like game 7 against Dallas I didn't think it was over for a long time, but tonight, I just knew this game was over since halfway through the third quarter. Despite Portland playing with energy, they just have had no chance of making a comeback.

The Blazers will sweep the Spurs. The only advantage San Antonio has is their bench and that's not that important in the playoffs. I don't see anyway the Spurs can keep up with us.

Gino will need a solid game next game. TP did the heavy lifting scoring/defense/minutes wise. He has to be able to give the Spurs 25-30 MPG of solid basketball.
Tony was amazing... Manu only 18 mins... Pop got the quick hook on this game, seeing Beli was hitting... if everybody chip in, it makes everything easier

POR does get a lot of ref love, especially at home. Just have to be prepared. Spurs got a terrible crew for a home game, but easily overcame any bad calls and it wasn't that bad overall.

I'm a little worried about game 2. Spurs need to come out with more energy, I know Manu will as he's pissed with how bad he played, but besides that, Parker, Leonard, Duncan, Splitter, and the bench need to come out with a lot of energy so that Portland doesn't outhustle them.

Lillard and Aldridge won't shoot this bad in the second game tbh...
Splitter has been a solid defender when matched against aldridge the last couple of years Ive said it before that I thought he played him better than anyone else in the league, I think aldridge will probably continue with the rough shooting.
I thought lillard did a great job attacking in the 2nd half and trying to facilitate but we just couldn't knock down much (you guys did a great job on not letting us get many open looks)
Houston got up on us in every game and we came back, you guys did a damn good job on any small runs we tried to put together got it to like 20 and in a matter of 30 seconds back up to 26 :lol
Once again great game from top to bottom on both ends from you guys, hopefully we can try to keep the next one a little closer :toast

In all seriousness, I think Portland got lazy on watching game tape. Had they reviewed Dallas' rotations on defense, it wouldn't be this big of a blowout. Also, if Blazers can turn it around, I think Mo Williams and Wes Matthews will have a field day against the Spurs soon.
But I'll bask in Game 1's glory for right now!

I won't be shocked if the Spurs fail to maintain this intensity for 4 or 5 straight games. The Spurs need to take a 2-0 lead to Oregon because I guarantee this Blazers team will be an entirely different monster on their home floor.
