Dwight had already led a team to a Finals appearance and was considered a "superstar" by most. Randle is just trying to get his feet wet and learn. I think it would be a perfect opportunity actually. Kobe is only gonna be around for 2 years at most and then step down handing over the reigns to Randle. 2 years is an ideal window to learn from one of the best. Randle seems like he has that aggressive/alpha mentality so it would be a perfect match.

Much better than going to some shitty franchise like Milwaukee or Philly with nobody relevant
